Casina Marcella - country house

Ten minutes from Daylesford, Casina Marcella is one of two fully equipped homes on five acres reflecting the Swiss/Italian heritage of the region. It sleeps four in two queen beds and positioned such that it is completely private overlooking potentially grazing kangaroos and Hepburn State Forest from french doors or the alfresco area under the grapevines.

Set in the peaceful countryside of Basalt; rolling hills, wildlife, bush walks and country quiet. Read a book or for that matter write a book, meditate to the sounds of chirping birds or lowing cattle, chill out and rejuvenate. With modern conveniences and a historic flavour, Casina Marcella is the place for you to relax and wind down.

Minutes from Daylesford, Lavendula lavender farm, the Frangos Swiss Mountain Hotel, you need not travel out of the area for your entertainment and eating requirements. Or, if you choose to venture out, it is in the middle of Central Victoria's 'Golden Triangle' with all of it's historic and boutique towns, tourist attractions and festivals an easy commute. Daylesford is only one and a half hours from Melbourne so come enjoy what is on offer.

The region is renowned for it's mineral springs and health and wellness traditions as well as it's gastronomic delights, markets and wineries. In fact the region boasts some of Victoria's best food and wine experiences.

This was the perfect little getaway, we wished we had stayed longer! It is in the most beautiful location, very peaceful and relaxing. Loved being able to cozy up by the fire in evenings and walk out amongst nature in the mornings. Cannot wait to come again.

Everything you need quiet & scenic

We had a delightful 2 nights in the very comfortable and spacious country house. Beautiful outdoor area to enjoy the bird life and trees. Kitchen has everything you need. We were very happy with this quiet rural retreat.
