Come to the most incredible oasis in Red Hill and truly unwind! You will leave with life-time memories!
Set on 5.2 acres, Lionsgate stands as testament to the incredible thought and attention to detail that has gone into creating this stunning oasis.
You will find lots of videos of the property on Insta at Lionsgate_redhill.
The property features double electric security gates and an imposing entrance, which ends at a circular driveway. The house is built in the style of the great Australian homestead and has private estate written all over it. The house boasts a traditional wrap around veranda, designed to maximize the views. Whether out across the bay towards the You Yangs and Port Arlington or into the romantic semi circle rose garden. Both are equally stunning. Wherever the eye rests, it takes in scenes that calm and relax the mind, body and soul.
The resort-style pool with spa at Lionsgate is world-class, with breathtaking views over the bay. The 12 x 5 meter solar heated pool forms part of a huge paved and decked entertainment area, with plenty of room to relax for the whole family. The spa is gas heated, a perfect place to enjoy the sunset with a drink.
The front door opens immediately into the formal living room, complete with an antique grandfather clock, an antique grand piano, classic paintings by European artists and an open fireplace. Immediately one is drawn to the large floor to ceiling windows and French doors, which encapsulate the outstanding view.
From the living room, bi-fold doors open into a classic kitchen, which features a large Rosier gas stove with double electric oven and a double drawer dishwasher. The open plan dining room, kitchen and family room features a slow combustion wood heater, which also has a pizza oven. There is a large 52” Plasma screen TV with DVD and an Apple TV, and the room has ample seating for the whole family. The home comes equipped with family entertainment such as board games and DVD’s suitable for the whole family. The entertainment jewel is a top-of-the-line multi-zone Sonos sound system for both inside and outside enjoyment.
The master suite has a king size bed and large en-suite. It also has a charming antique writing desk that looks out toward the expansive sea view. Four more bedrooms are set in the front wing of the house. A comfortable queens size bedroom and two bedrooms with two singles in each, as well as a bunkroom with 2 singles. Two bathrooms serve these bedrooms, one of which has a large spa bath. There are also two more toilets. One off the laundry, which has a floor level washer and dryer, and more room than one would expect.
Lionsgate is not your ordinary holiday house. A man-made creek flows into a natural spring-fed dam (drop a net in and catch yourself some yabbies), the dam has two fountains, and the shady mature gardens beckon guests to lazy in the hammock or onto the croquet lawn for fun and games. The property is superbly located to all the best of the Mornington Peninsula. One of the most popular wineries and taps bar, Foxeys, is literally just across the road.

Stunning view. Great for multi generational family
We mainly relaxed around the wide generous balcony enjoying the stunning view overlooking Mt Martha, Safety Beach and beyond. Recommend Many Little restaurant (pet friendly) and Mornington for shopping. Lovely to drive along the coast road north and south. Great cooking facilities too.
It’s a roomy property with fantastic views.
A pool and spa, plenty of bedrooms and really pleasant living areas…even a grand piano!
Would happily return.
We enjoyed our stay, great location and god communication with the host. One of the toilets wasn’t working but Olaf informed us prior to arrival as the cleaner alerted him. Great kitchen if you want to eat in which we did and enjoyed the spectacular sunsets.
The property was just perfect for our extended family reunion stay. Spacious, extremely well equipped and maintained, and glorious views over Port Phillip Bay. Lots of grounds for the kids to roam and explore, and one of the best pool and decking areas that I’ve ever seen in a domestic residence. The host, Olaf, was incredibly helpful and obliging. I could not recommend this property more highly.
We have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Lions Gate. This is a beautiful house with great facilities and an exceptional view over the bay. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
We had a great time at Lions Gate. The property is beautiful and the house is warm, welcoming and very comfortable. Olaf is a super helpful host and made our stay very easy. Three days was not quite long enough!
A fabulous place to celebrate a special birthday! We had such a great weekend relaxing by the pool. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Looking forward to the next time. Thanks Olaf for looking after us.

Except for one tenant, who never showed up, Lisa and her family are the best tenant we have welcomed in all the years we have welcomed tenants at LionsGate. The house was as clean as when she arrived, she was totally respectful of all house-rules. Lisa will definitely look after all properties she rents in the future. Ten out of ten. Olaf
A family trip celebrating our parents 60th wedding anniversary. Lions Gate was magnificent and the views even better than the photos. Olaf was a very welcoming host. Jo
Absolutely beautiful house, well equipped and very comfortable. There were 10 of us,6 adults and 4children aged 7-13 all had a fabulous time. The view from the house and the deck was fantastic. Great pool and spa but a bit too cold to use this time of the year. Lots of space for the kids inside and out. Markets and lots of wineries to visit in the area.
Very clean and comfortable. Easily accommodated 8 adults and we never felt crowded. Best views on the peninsula from all the living areas. The in-house spring water was an unexpected bonus.
We'll be back. Thanks Olaf.
We enjoyed a very special girls weekend away at Lionsgate and it was the perfect home to fit 9 adults comfortably. It had everything we needed and although the weather wasn’t great we still indulged in a spa and enjoyed the many great wineries close by. Will miss the glorious view.
This property was amazing!! Olaf the host was very easy to deal with and checked in to make sure we were all happy which was nice.
There is plenty of rooms, 4 toilets and 3 bathroom which is really ideal when you have 3 different family’s attending..
The pool and spa are great and the views were spectacular..
Will definitely be back again in the near future that’s for sure!!
We had an amazing stay at a lions gate on our annual girls weekend away.
The house is big and beautiful and the views are amazing. The pool and spa also add to the grandness of this property
Olaf welcomed us on arrival to ensure our stay was perfect and ensured we had everything we needed.
A definite must for families or a girls weekend away. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Awesome tenants! They left the house in such a clean and tidy condition. Hope to welcome you back.🙏
An absolutely incredible place to stay for our girls trip. Although I think we spent more time by the pool than in the house itself - it had all amenities you could need and beds were super comfy! And the view - wow!! We didn’t even leave the property over our stay. We were already planning our next trip before we’d checked out. Thanks Olaf!
We had a wonderful time at Lionsgate. Check in was very easy with Olaf and he was extremely accommodating. Our group ranged in age from grandchildren through to grandparents and everyone had such a wonderful time, nobody wanted to leave. The house is extremely well appointed and the view is spectacular. Hopefully we will get to stay at Lionsgate again soon.
The house is a wonderful size for families and the outdoor entertaining area is divine and where we spent the most of our time.
Overall we did enjoy our stay however the property could have been a little cleaner. We had to clean the pool quite significantly as it was covered in duck poo ( the pool man turned up the second day during our stay) and one of the bathrooms had a really unpleasant smell which we assumed was issues to do with the pipes as the toilet wasn’t flushing properly.
That aside the property is as described in the photos.

Thanks for staying Maggie. Like all country properties with pools on the peninsula: ducks can land around the pool every day during spring and summer. Unfortunately, they can’t be kept away. The unpleasant smell turned out to be a blocked drain issue, our plumber fixed it the day after you left.
The property was absolutely perfect, and if possible, even better than it appeared on the listing. Olaf was a superb host and made the whole process so much simpler.
We were gathering as a family ahead of our son’s wedding at a local winery. Our weekend was filled with joy and happiness which was enhanced enormously by the ability to relax in such a beautiful place with a spectacular outlook, and to have the grooms’ party dress for the wedding in such a lovely place.
We would have no hesitation at all in returning, and we hope it will happen very soon. We cannot recommend this venue more highly. It was wonderful.
Stunning venue, perfect for our group. We can’t wait for the next trip to Redhill.
We had the perfect getaway for our annual girls get together. Our host Olaf was there when needed but left us to enjoy his amazing venue. The photos really do not do it justice. It is just gorgeous.
We went to lunch at the winery Foxeys across the road and experienced such a delicious lunch. We went exploring around the divine property and also walked into Redhill. We arranged a mobile masseuse and when finished we soaked in the luxurious spa with the most amazing view.
We made dinner in the huge and well appointed kitchen, then we sat by the fire. In the morning we enjoyed a home made breakfast overlooking the bay on the verandah. Our group of 8 ladies cannot wait to come back. Thank you Olaf, your property really is superb.

Nikki was an awesome tenant, she left the house in a very clean and tidy condition.
Lionsgate was perfect for our family group of ten, which ranged in ages from 13 to 81. The property was beautiful, roomy and quiet with stunning views. The house easily accommodated our numbers, with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms and several living spaces.
The owner was even happy for us to bring our cat as the catteries were all booked out, and the cat was comfortably and safely accommodated in the spacious ensuite.
It was lovely to spend time at the house just enjoying the atmosphere and the scenery - we almost didn't need to go anywhere else! But when we did venture out, we were within a short walking distance of a winery and cherry farm, and other areas of the peninsula were easily accessible within a short drive. (We were also pleasantly surprised how quickly we were able to reach Lionsgate from Melbourne - it only took us an hour.)
The owner was friendly and prompt with communication and gave us useful instructions, including on how to avoid heavy traffic by taking a walking track to the Red Hill markets instead of driving.
We can't wait to return!

Beautiful location but needs a major overhaul and clean.
Recently stayed with family to celebrate a milestone birthday. The location and view is stunning, but the property needs some significant upgrades and a deep clean. Bedding and bath towels were provided, but no beach towels. The dam on the property was overgrown and dangerous to be around. Showers were lined with mould and every appliance in the kitchen needed to be scrubbed before being able to be used. Rangehood looks to have not been cleaned in years and emits a fishy smell in the kitchen. We found half eaten food under the couch, and I’m sure the cleaner doesn’t realise the outside of toilet bowls also need to be cleaned. It took us half an hour to clean out the fire place to get it to a point where it could be safely used. And on top of all that - when we expected sole use of the property for our stay we had a gardener arrive unannounced for TWO of the four days we were there, and also a person come to service the pool completely unannounced - WHILE WE WERE USING IT. Neither knocked on the door, just arrived and started working - and there was NO notification from the owner about their arrival. We had NO PRIVACY during our stay - for the amount you pay for this property I would not recommend staying if you think this is what you are getting.

Once in a rare while we come across tenants who have a mission to complain and seek a refund instead of enjoying their stay. Karli is one of those tenants. While we agree it was unfortunate that she found a bit of food when they lifted and moved one of the sofas, the house was perfectly cleaned, as it is every time. For example, Kelli claims she had to spend 30 minutes cleaning the coffee machine, when it had been already cleaned perfectly. Another example is she claims she had to spend a long time cleaning appliances, which is utter rubbish - we inspect all details of the cleaning job before tenants arrive. You get the picture.
Regarding gardeners and pool cleaner coming, this was communicated clearly beforehand. LionsGate has 5 acres of manicured gardens, it requires weekly maintenance. And lastly, there were plenty of towels for all guests.
Karli is not welcome back to Lionsgate, we advise future landlords to reject booking requests from her. Like us, you will regret it.
Stunning property, the view is amazing! The house is wonderful, has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Very easy check in. Would come back again in a heart beat
