Entire house was very clean. Great location, easy access to public transport and not too far from supermarket, restaurants and hotels. Would definitely recommend.
I have stayed in this house before, it is very comfortable and in a good position for public transport, restaurants etc. Lina the owner is always very welcoming and helpful.
Perfect property in every way for a 10 day visit to Perth to visit family. Home was a delightful period house and within easy walking distance to shops, parks and our family. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Spacious charming home, very close to what we needed to be during our stay.
Full of books and DVD's and the boys of chocolates on the table was a nice touch.
Wild definitely stay here again.
My family really enjoyed their 3 week stay here. The house is spacious, clean and very well equipped. The AC made the summer stay very comfortable. It was a central location for exploring Perth with easy parking. Plus close to shops and cafes so great for an extended visit.
Had a lovely time as always in this cosy house. It’s stylish, roomy, has convenient parking and everything we need. Lina our host was as always accommodating. Thanks again
Thanks to Lina our host who welcomed us on arrival. Yummy chocolates on the dining table are always appreciated! As were the reverse cycle heaters who kept us cozy and warm. Great location and easy parking on site. A great stay
We were at Linas for our sons PHD graduation. The home was lovely, well set out with everything we could need. Lina went over and above for us when a small issue with the internet. She was a lo v ely host and would highly recommend.
We had a very enjoyable stay in this lovely house. It is very clean and comfortable, and close to everything you could need. Lina was very friendly, and even left some chocolates for us. I would highly recommend it
Our family enjoyed our stay in Lina’s lovely home. It is full of character. After reading some other reviews about traffic noise we did pack some earplugs and they were very useful for sleeping as we are not used to traffic noise.Other than that, great location.
The house was extremely cold. We had to have the heating on all the time. The tile floor in the shower and bathroom were high gloss and extremely slippery and very dangerous. We had to put towels on the floor to avoid a serious accident. There was no information pack about where the nearest shops, restaurants, petrol station etc

Yes, It was very cold weather at that time and most of Perth had the heating on all the time - but there is heating, guests control it, and I don't quite get the problem there. I attended to the guests and showed them heating mode as the remotes were on cool, not heat. Everyone, especially elderly people, should be careful on tiled floors when wet and there is a note provided to remind guests of this. They're not high gloss, and I have not had that complaint in 12 years of hosting, but I can imagine elderly persons feeling vulnerable when not in your own familiar space. The property is surrounded by supermarkets, petrol stations, everything is literally around the corner, but why not ask when I am there on site or send a message instead of waiting to complain about it after the booking? I am always available and happy to help.
Nice house prehaps add some shopping bag so visitors dont need to buy any. Lina was a lovely friendly lady and my wife closed the door with the keys inside not realising that her bad and jumper was still on the sideboard at front door we unfortunately hat to wake her up at 7am to get them sorry Linda
Staying at Lina's home was really like a home away from home. Centrally located, it was walking distance to a number of very good cafes, restaurants and hotels, as well as 2 major supermarkets so immediately life was comfortable. Public transport is very close by too.
The home itself was spacious and exceptionally clean and Lina's generosity in ensuring that the basic items such as milk, oil, salt, sugar, coffee, tea etc were part of the deal along with her spectacular marmalade, the TimTams and a box of welcoming chocolates...wow - really, this was one of the better "Stayz" that we have enjoyed over the years both here in Australia (in this instance Perth) and overseas.
Located a 40 minute walk from the CBD or 15 mins by car, we highly recommend "Home Central" and we hope to be able to stay again when next we are in Perth.
Overall our stay at this property was very pleasant and convenient for our purpose. It was incredibly close to various food and grocery options, as well as a bus line straight to the city centre. The amenities provided were useful and the check-in/check-out process was straightforward.Aspects which detracted from our stay were how cold the property was and cleanliness. The heaters varied in how effective they were at warming each room (despite adjusting the settings multiple times) and there were only two light blankets in addition to the basic bedding. Cleanliness in the kitchen and dinning area could also be improved. The previous tenant hadn't washed the dishes properly and there were no washing gloves provided. Also, the placemats at the dinning table had numerous evidence of previous meals in the creases. As a side point, I would have liked some information about the recycling process in the area so that we could have been more Green during our stay.

Thanks Amber. I think you are not using the aircon correctly, and it would have been helpful to you if you had asked about that during the stay. Washing gloves are under the sink area. Recycling is pretty obvious, 2 bins in the kitchen one for food scraps one for other, reflected by the outside bins, one for food, one for recyclables. Thanks for your feedback.
This home is spacious and clean with owner living just behind it in case you need anything. Lina greeted us on arrival went over the rule folder and gave us a tour through the house. Lina also had chocolate’s and a very tasty homemade orange marmalade as a welcoming gift.
As it is a large house and only my sister and I stayed Lina exercised her option to shut off 1 of the bedrooms which was no problem because like I said it’s a very spacious house.
Because it is such a large house and can accommodate a large group you need to be aware if the “quiet” time which I believe starts at 7pm. So if you are using the very beautiful outdoor sitting area it’s good to be aware of this before booking.
We had a wonderful 11 day stay and highly recommend this property. One of the better VRBO’s we have rented.
We stayed here for 13 days with adult children. It was clean and bedrooms were spacious. It was good to have laundry and supplies for this and bathroom were generous. The house is quirky in decor and has very limited living room space for five adults. We appreciated the air conditioning in two of the three bedrooms and tried to get air flow through the living area with limited success in 39 degrees heat. The road noise can be loud at times. Parking was good off road. We enjoyed the two cafes within 100 metres. We were disappointed when our booking was for three adults but our son left early and our daughter made an unexpected visit from Melbourne. We were charged an additional fee despite the nights of occupancy being the same. As an Airbnb host I would not do this to a guest. Overall ok.

I expected a negative review due to extra guest charges which are clearly stated onsite - all charges including extra guest fees.. Sally's texts were all positive about the property for the first week until the extra guest charges even though they were discounted from $390 to $120 which were explained to her and I was also not obliged to do. She should know this if she is a host. Sally booked for 3 guests, so who are the five guests she refers to? there were 2x2 seaters and 1xsingle seater in the lounge to seat 5 persons. I did not appreciate all my decorator items being re arranged which I had to put back, dirty sink, dishes, and lipstick wiped off on towels. If they had a problem with the 'quirky' decor - which are shown in property photos - they need not have booked. They certainly showed no respect for the property.

Why they chose this property
This property is in a great central location for sightseeing, close to the city and in a very sought after leafy green heritage residential area. I have lived here for 40 years and watched Mt Lawley grow and change into a very trendy area with lots of cafes and amenities close by.
What makes this property unique
This original home is indicative of this particular area with lots of character, is very spacious, with high ceilings, large rooms, and is beautifully decorated for my guests.
