We enjoyed the pool very much, but that was really the only redeeming factor. The room faced a hallway (windows always had to be closed), and the resort itself was quite dead. Nothing open in the resort (swim-up bar seems to be abandoned) and nothing to walk to. Don't stay here unless you have a vehicle to go elsewhere.

Dear Eric,
In response to your review:
(1) Thank you for your kind words regarding the pool.
(2) It is clearly stated that studios do not feature a patio/balcony and no views.
(3) The property is not a "night life" atmosphere. Guests come here for peace, quiet, and tranquility.
(4) It is not advertised that there is a swim-up bar as an onsite amenity, however the onsite convenience store (which is independently operated by a third party) does sell wine, beer, and spirits.
(5) It is strongly recommended to rent a car if visiting.

Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Isolation
Very disappointed to learn the pool bar is not operational and there are no dining options on site. The convenience store was never opened; always had a note on it stating to go downstairs for service if there was no worker present…very inconvenient. No food/bar within walking distance. Walk to beach was easy (8 mins) but required another 35 min walk along the. Each before reaching food/ bar options. Had to taxi everywhere…very expensive.

Dear Kristen,
In response to your review:
(1) Please note that we do not advertise as having a pool bar as an onsite amenity. We also do not advertise any onsite restaurants.
(2) The convenience store is rented out/operated by a third party, and operate based on their operating hours.
It sounds like this vacation did not meet your expectations in terms of budgeting for it. It is the responsibility of travelers to conduct research prior to traveling as this will assist with proper planning.
The property is beautiful. All of our expectations were met except the internet was not stable and no phone in the room. Overall we had a wonderful time.
My bf and I are from Chicago. We were browsing the web and considering several hotels/resorts. The pictures online for the Atrium did them no Justice! This place was amazing. It was private, so beautifully modern, peaceful and very clean and comfortable. Our room was stocked with everything we needed from towels to tide for laundry (yes we had a washer and dryer in our suite). We cannot wait to come back to Turks ans Caicos, when we do, it’ll be the Atrium Resort we stay. Thank you for a beautiful time and a comfortable place to lay our head.
Here is a summary of the studio room at Atrium resort:
Stained walls
Kitchen faucet leaks all over the counter when turned on
Dirty walls, tons of scuffs and residue from cooking in no ventilation
Bathroom towel rack is falling off the wall
Ceiling fan is covered in dust and gunk
Shower does not stay hot for more than five minutes…every single shower…no matter time of day
Vent in bathroom is filthy and filled with visible dust
Trash on floor and dirt behind nightstand
Shower is small, be careful
Light in shower is burnt out
Damaged and dirty furniture
Outlet covers falling off the walls
No ventilation
Windows face trash and storage and do not open properly and no natural light gets in them
When you try to vent them flys get in , tons of flies
Floors are dirty
Table and dishes all smelled and were dirty
Smashed flies on walls
Oven and base boards filthy
The entire unit needs to be doused in bleach, refinished and painted.
Dirt on floor and under furniture, in corners of room
Shower walls and kitchen walls dirty
Lighting is dim
Not enough light in room
No natural light
No balcony or living room
Stains on curtains
Door handles and doors are dirty
Light switches filthy
This should not be a studio, more like a storage room or office space for guests. This is a cheap attempt to generate more profit, when honestly, paying $500 less for a home stay or another listing would have felt better than this.
Hole in wall/outlet under desk
Tried to go to front desk to switch rooms but none available. Concierge would not help when asked for laundry detergent or dishwasher detergent- wrong tab for the machine in the room was left by housekeeping
When I checked in front desk made sure the room was clean, but it wasn’t- whatever they attempted to wipe the surfaces with, left everything oily and sticky- throughout the room.
Obvious no Covid cleaning protocols. Since I had no other options but to stay in the room I washed everything I could and wiped surfaces and deep cleaned kitchen plates and silverware.
Gym floor is filthy and the equipment is old and dangerous if you are not careful.
Garage steps need a thorough power washing. Filthy.
Pool bar is non operational
Not what I wanted on my vacation, and not to be expected from the resort photos or website. You believe you are getting a high quality room like the ads for the 1 bedroom, and then you get a literal 2 star motorlodge room.

Dear Michelle,
In response to your review:
Your description and comments of the room is not accurate. Units are checked by housekeeping and maintenance prior to arrival to ensure all is in order prior to check-in. We follow strict cleaning, sanitation, and disinfecting protocols. Surfaces, floors, and high touch areas, such as door knobs and pulls, remote controls, light switches, etc. are sanitized, cleaned, and disinfected with premium brand name products which kill 99.9% of germs, viruses and bacteria, including coronavirus.
You sent us a question, prior to arriving, about the studio, and were clearly informed that the studio unit does not feature a patio/balcony, and no views. In addition, your comment about the unit being filthy and that dishes smelled in inaccurate. Whenever a guest checks-out, dishes are always cleaned in the dishwasher at a high temperature/heat.
Your description of the onsite gym is also inaccurate. The floors are mopped on a daily basis and equipment is checked by maintenance staff on a regular basis. Also, the listing does not advertise that there is a pool bar onsite.
Your rented a condo unit, and only a starter kit of items, such as laundry detergent is provided. Guests are responsible for their own items once the starter kit runs out.
The guests who stayed in the same unit before you and right after you did not have any complaints whatsoever.
It sounds like you were looking for a full-service hotel experience, however that is not what is advertised. It sounds like you booked this listing without conducting proper research.
Pictures do not do its justice the room looks way better in person.
Everything was just perfect. Except when I got there nobody was at the office. I had to wait like 5 minutes and luckily David walked by and I waved he came right over to open the main door. He also checked me in smooth process and very nice. He came over cus my shade fell off and fixed it right away. I thought I had no hot water but it was me whom didnt know how to work the shower. Someone was right over to help me. Everything was great too bad I did not enjoy the pool because I was out during the day. Certainly would stay here again. Thank You David for all your help
The biggest downside of the CONDO was the lack of patio or balcony. Two small windows (albeit overlooking the pool) and cheap, inadequate curtains made us claustrophobic. Right beside a busy passageway, we had to keep the lights off to maintain our privacy, making us feel even more closed in. There are, however, lots of upsides: cheap price for this island, affluent safe neighbourhood, nearby beach with chairs and umbrellas available, fantastic pool, excellent WIFI, w/d, great towels, cable TV, (though tiny and not smart), great storage for clothes, efficient a/c, and great kitchen with a FULL stove . The owner needs to buy a second chair for relaxing, knives for food prep, a large skillet, wine glasses, another bed cover, and replace dishware as it breaks. You need a car.
I booked a unit at the last minute and wasn’t sure whether the property would be worth it. I was more than pleasantly surprised to find that the property was top notch. All the amenities needed for a great vacation were present. The pool area was beautiful, the 2 bedroom unit excellent and the parking was easy. The location overall is great but you do need a car for to dine and explore. They have a beach lounge self serve at the beautiful Sunset Beach , but the walk there is at least 10-15 minutes if you don’t have a car.
It would be great if they incorporated some sort of shuttle to Salt Mill area, the beach or the Marina.
All in all I would highly recommend
Andy Wolin
