We had an amazing 2 night stay at Shanleys for our honeymoon/babymoon. It was the most perfect place to relax and unwind and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was super comfortable and the views from the place were incredible.

A lovely hideaway

We loved the the spa, the comfy big bed, the gorgeous decor and features in the house, and the views were just spectacular. We felt right at home and had total privacy. We highly recommend Shanleys and hope to return again soon.

Great little cosy cottage

On a windy, cold winter night was fantastic to arrive at the Shambles cottage, fire was going and lovely spa. Highly recommend...

Wonderful place to get away

We stayed here for 5 nights and I had an amazing birthday here. It was just perfect on all levels. Great views, awesome spa, cute birds and lovely fire place to relax in front of. Our host Anne went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Would love to come back one day.

Shanley’s Weekend Getaway

Shanleys cottage was amazing, we’d arrived in Hobart on a late evening flight and drove to Shanleys. All I can say is, its worth the drive out. Everything described on the listing is as is. So relaxing and a great place to wind down from the busy Sydney life. A hidden gem in the Huon Valley area. Thank you Anne for accomodating my wife and I.

Enchanting location

My partner and I stayed at Shanleys to celebrate a 40th birthday. We hoped for privacy and a chance to spend a romantic getaway together. It rained the entire time we were there but we couldn’t think of a better place to be at time. A cosy warm and inviting cottage. Open plan with a luxurious spa bath next to the bed. We were happy not to leave the house. We will be back

Slow down and look around

Our first mini holiday since the convid lockdowns of 2020, we chose Shanleys just because it looked comfortable and relaxing. We were more impressed with the reality. Anne is a thoughtful host and has equipped the chalet with all you need and extra things in the pantry you generally expect to forgo for a weekend stay. The region around Dover has plenty of sightseeing on offer and a late afternoon tea on the chalet balcony watching the sunset is wonderful way to ease into dinner. Highly recommended. Great getaway

Wow, this place is amazing for an unwind. Needed a quiet few days after a busy year. Just relaxed, played board games, drank champagne and cooked some great meals. Has everything you need, Just amazing Tony and Mel Sydney

Romantic getaway

The property was very nice and romantic and each area was thought of nicely like the style , kitchen , fire place nice, two tv’s, bathroom and kitchen nice and they have books, games , Pamphlets for help you see things around area... Bed has lovely view of area open windows around u can see amazing views and open deck and garden lovely and the best spa was relaxing and enjoy the view the same time. Romantic getaway and we wish we stay more nights there . We will 100% coming back to this property again. 😊

10/10 this place was worth every penny with the spectacular views

We had an absoute amazing stay. Arrived with the wood heating going and a exstreamly clean room. The spa bath with full length glass walls to look out into the mountains was absoutely amazing highly recommend this beauitful stay to anyone intrested in a romantic getaway.
