Rhele's Roost is what dreams of Dunes, Beach and Lake Michigan dreams are made of. Our gravel road though the woods opens up into an oasis of quiet neighbors, sounds of the surf, rustling trees, friendly waves and tranquility.

With all the family-friendly attractions, nearby wineries, golf courses, and on-site access to Lake Michigan, our quaint vacation home is a fabulous find.

The front of the house is charmingly simple and tucked away, but once you step into the backyard, you'll find yourself immersed in a breathtaking oasis of beauty and tranquility.

Oceana County offers 6 golf courses within 30 minutes, swimming, kayaking, wine vineyards, Silver Lake Dunes and many other family activities.

Off season activities are limited. Please look before you book.

Cell Service is week - We do have WI-FI for WI-FI Calling. We also have a T-Mobile Cell Spot for roaming service.

You should be prepared to walk. We are close to Lake Michigan but not on Lake Michigan.

We are only 500 steps (1630 ft.) to Lake Michigan access and we have backyard hiking access to Silver Lake Dunes.

We're open all year! In the winter, we recommend an AWD or 4x4 vehicle to get in and out of the neighborhood.

***Our water is well water from Lake Michigan aquifer. It is refreshing and very drinkable. Feel free to take some home with you.

Great location

This was a small cozy cabin with everything we needed and at a great location. It was a quick walk to beach and sand dunes and a short drive to the parks, and town. Family had a great time!

It’s a magical area!

We mainly picked this cottage because it’s close to my brothers, and that worked so well. Love the location between Lake Michigan and the sand dunes. The cottage was clean, cozy, and comfortable.

Erick was a phenomenal host with excellent communication with us at check-in and check-out, and as needed throughout. His home is filled with gorgeous pieces of art and artifacts.We found the description of how far it was to the beach to be deceiving -500 steps ended up being at least a 1/3 mile down the road. We never did figure out how to get to the beach by crossing the dunes behind the house, and it was too steep and vigorous of a walk for my 70 year old sister.The toaster was so covered in grease that it would set off the fire alarm. It was freezing in the living room with the AC on, but it was stuffy and too warm in the bedrooms at night.Overall we enjoyed our time together, but we will pick a place on the beach next time.

The private beach access is just under a quarter mile from the cottage, and while parking isn't permitted there, you could have easily dropped your sister off at the entrance. Great location

The house was very cute and the host ensured our stay was great. The only thing I would warn folks about is that there is no cell service with ATT there but the wifi at the house is great and you can use that to make calls.

We had a great stay at Rhele's Roost!The host was very friendly and response. The property is a short walk from an amazing beach. The cabin itself was well provisioned and clean - we lacked for nothing. The outdoor space was a dream. Large fire pit and plenty of space to hang out and let our toddler run around. Our family and I had an amazing stay there and will definitely be returning. Thank you, Erick, for being such a great host!

This is my 2nd endeavor with vacation rental properties. Our 1st house is located at Cobmoosa Shores near Shelby Michigan. We are now excited to be able to share our beautiful cottage with others.

Get ready for some sixties nostalgia! Our cottage has an eclectic, retro style all its own. Walking distance to Lake Michigan and backyard hiking access to Silver Lake Dunes State Park. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.

Artsy décor, and furnishings, and an electric blue kitchen welcome you inside, while a deck and pergola provide comfortable outdoor dining.

Close to Pentwater and Ludington.

Open all year. AWD or 4x4 recommend for winter stays.

Why they chose this property

I met Rhele, the original owner in the summer of 2019. We hit it off right away and from that moment, I knew that I wanted the cottage for myself.

The cottage is small but incredibly roomy. Fully decorated in a 60's contemporary style that will take you back to a simpler, kinder time.

If you need a break from the hustle and bustle of the world, there are few places like this. I always get the best sleep here. I'm not sure if it's the sound of the surf or just a feeling of seclusion. Whatever it is, I know you'll love it too.
