We wanted a few days to disconnect from work and our busy lives, and this cabin was perfect. The hot tub on the deck was so lovely, especially around sunrise and sunset, and the living room was so cozy that each night was pure relaxation.
Jonathan was very responsive as soon as we booked. We booked Feb15-Feb17th. Liked the fact that the road isn’t labeled so it felt like you were in the middle of no where . We were able to check in early for a discounted rate . Which was really nice !!! Next morning waking up to the snowy mountains was super nice !! Watched the snowmobiles use the trail near the house that was enjoyable . So the A-frame has a tankless hot water heater .The water was a little chilly . No complaints here as we just took quick showers . The sink water was the only way to get super hot water . Seemed it was the only bathroom downstairs that worked best . We found some reminants of fake rose petals from the previous stay . Again no issue !! Loved how we could grill , have a fire and enjoy the hot tub all at the same time . My husband and I are outdoorsy people so this was right up our alley . Love the accommodation for dogs . The host had a dog bed and bowls for pups who were staying . If you’re looking for a good local spot to eat definitely try the Queens head pub. 20 mins from the house! Overall we enjoyed the house and Jonathan was easy to communicate with ! We hope to book again in the future !!
Me and my partner stayed here for a lovely weekend away. Near to downtown Harrison and Bridgton, but fully remote and quiet. Deeply enjoyed the soak in hot tub, nice fire while watching sunset and relaxing with music and movies.
We went sledding and took a nice hike behind the property with our dog.
The bed is extremely cozy. Will definitely recommend and return

Beautiful views indeed, but cabin needs work.
Overall the property had lovely views on a pretty quiet street. We liked the hikes that were recommended by the host (especially the waterfall), the hot tub was clean and enjoyable (though visible from the road). On the downside, communication with host wasn't the best. While very nice in person (he was present when we arrived) he did not respond to my messages and phone call until the day before we checked-in (he was very apologetic about this but it added some unnecessary stress). Also, we had asked for a one-hour delayed check-out to accommodate a work phone call we needed internet for and he graciously agreed. However, he did not inform the cleaning service who showed up in the middle of our conference call (awkward moment for everyone). Kitchen had decent appliances and cookware. Some kitchen supplies (left by previous renters) came in handy. But the cabin needs updating. Screens were missing on doors, the TV wasn't connected to anything (evidently, it broke just before we got there)...the building just needs work. We were definitely looking forward to kayaking, as advertised, but the kayaks were full of water and cobwebs with no easy way to enter to creek (it was suggested in the house-book to drive them somewhere, which we could not do with our rental). In the end, we did have a relaxing time that was peaceful when guns weren't firing at a nearby range. The stars at night were lovely. I hope the owner gives the cabin the TLC it's due for.

Response from VrboOwner on 7 September 2022
Thanks Kelly, We did inform kelly that we are brand new to Vrbo and did not have messages set up. I was also at the property because I was meeting with a contractor when they arrive to repair several issues. This has been our longest rental for over 10 years and it has taken some abuse from all the wonderful pets and guest over the years. We just added a new smart tv with upgraded wifi, a new screen door, new closet door, upgraded the green storage shed for better storage of the kayak stuff and a few other small touches inside. We hope your next experience is better with out new messaging system and improved house.
