Sit back, relax and enjoy the views of Port Phillip Bay from the balcony, as you sip champagne and watch the ships go by. On warm Summer days, enjoy the sun drenched balcony with elevated views of surrounding tree tops and the Bay.
This wonderful double storey property is nestled among tea trees in a quiet, elevated position, directly inland from the heart of the Rye township (only 800m to the Rye Post Office).
Upstairs has a large, open plan area with well equipped kitchen, dining and lounge room. Features include a gas log fire for cosy winter nights and reverse cycle, split system air conditioning.
The property has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
It is situated less than one kilometre from the famous Rye Bay Beach and Rye's Shopping Centre with its abundance of cafes and restaurants.
Just a few minutes drive to the Peninsula Hot Springs, Moonah Links and The Dunes golf courses. Walking tracks through the nearby National Parks, local markets, wineries and Arthurs Seat and Ashcombe Maze are also a short drive away.

What's there and what do I need to bring?

You’ll find three bedrooms on the upper level, each with a Queen sized bed ( master has an ensuite). There is also a separate toilet and bathroom with a large corner bath with shower over it.
Downstairs, there is a 4th bedroom complete with a Queen sized bed, single bed and a single trundle bed. There is an adjoining bathroom with toilet, shower, washing machine and clothes dryer. The downstairs family room with bean bags and TV, is ideal as a second living area for the children.
There is a well equipped kitchen with large fridge, microwave, under bench oven and grill, gas hotplates, toaster, mixer, sandwich press etc...
Off-street, undercover parking for 3 cars under the carport.

WHAT IS PROVIDED?
Salt, pepper, herbs, and a few basic pantry items.
Gladwrap, foil and plastic bags.
Toilet paper, dishwashing liquid, hand soap and bathmats are provided.
Hairdryers, books, games and DVDs are provided for you to use.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING? Guests will need to bring their own base sheet, doona cover, pillowcases, bath towels and beach towels.

Terms and conditions

We do not rent out to schoolies/Rowdies groups.
There is a minimum age for renters.
No pets allowed.
No smoking allowed inside the house.

BOND & SURCHARGES
The security bond is $1000 . It will not need to be paid up front but your credit card will be kept on file until property has been checked for damage.

Wonderful location

Linda is a wonderful host and communicated very well throughout our stay. We’ve stayed here a couple of times as the property is perfectly located. Although it is basic accommodation it is quite spacious and clean. Perfect for families with teenagers who like their own space. Highly recommend.

Beautiful spacious property

Beautiful property that is spacious and accomdates 2 families comfortably. Everything was clean when we got there. Linda, the property manager was amazing to deal with and went above and beyond to ensure property was in tip top condition when we arrived. Great communication too. Beach was 3 minute drive and close to shops too. Loved staying here. Would gladly book again. Thank you Linda for the bottle of bubbly, and chocolates on arrival. Nice touch to our arrival.

Holiday house with everything you need !

This holiday house was exactly what we wanted ! It came with everything a family could want on a holiday. This was seamless communication with Linda, its the only holiday house we have rented that had every common household item including 2x hair dryers lol. Even high chairs for kids and a beach cart that came in handy on our travels to the beach a few times. Bedrooms were comfortable and living spaces were great for a large family and kids. Linda even had a baby gate on the staircase which kept our 3 yr old from accessing the staircase. The property is perched up high and you can see above the tree tops with the Rye beach in the distance. Overall a very enjoyable stay where we didn't have to go looking for things that wasn't there. Well done to Linda, 5 star for your effort ! Cheers, Prav

Best Homestay Experience Yet

Great location and comfortable accommodation

The house is in a great location and is comfortable. Beware that renters are required to bring all their own linen which I had missed on the listing. I found this frustrating given the price. Having said that, it was my error. Also there were many ants all over the kitchen and in bedroom which was annoying and required constant attending. But overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you

Great stay over the Christmas period

We had a fabulous stay over Christmas!! The house was a great location and an easy, quick walk to the beach!! Kitchen was well stocked and made cooking Christmas dinner for 6 an ease!! What a lovely property! The entry and downstairs area is almost self contained with bedroom, living area and bathroom along with laundry facilities and a under cover picnic bench outside. The upstairs living / dining / kitchen is so bright and airy. In theory, you could sleep 12 people in this property. There are three bedrooms with queen sized beds in each room with a very small ensuite attached to the master. The property is perfect for a family holiday / family gathering with 3 adult couples with 4-6 children. The owner has taken an exceptional amount of pain to ensure that the property is self-contained. We found a well stocked first aid kit, books, board games, high chair, ironing board and a table tennis table in the carport. There was a living area with a TV upstairs and downstairs as well. The staircase has a child guard rail that will provide safety to bubs. The kitchen equipment is very good quality and the decorations are very nicely picked out. The dining table is stunning and seats 10. The deck is the focal area of the upstairs. Wide deck with a lovely sea view a smaller table with sun umbrella and a well maintained barbecue. This property has set a new standard for our family trips.

This property was very comfortable and the location is great being close to the shops! We enjoyed our stay as the house is equipped with everything you need! Excellent for a couple of families as it has two wonderful lounge areas and 3 toilets!!!!! Owner was very accommodating, friendly and very helpful. We will definitely be staying here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week stay at Bayviews and found that the house comfortably accommodated our group of 10 young adults. No detail has been missed, right down to the collection of card and board games in the lounge. Linda's communication was prompt and informative. We would happily stay again!

A most enjoyable week

For our extended family of 6 adults and five young children. It was clean very comfortable, and a most satisfactory location for beach and other activities. The owner was very friendly, most obliging and we appreciated the champagne and goodies on arrival. Well set out kitchen and living areas. Extremely clean. Bar-B-Q on balcony was great and met all our needs. We found the nearby Peninsula Pantry in Wondaree Street a foodie's delight.

Plenty of room for everyone to unwind over Summer

For an extended family of 9, including 3 children, there was plenty of room for all of us to either gather together or have some time alone. The great well lit kitchen and balcony was the best part of the house and where we spent most of our time. We made use of the BBQ and shared some great food and stories on the balcony each morning and evening. When the wind picked up we just moved inside. We also had some great walks/runs around the winding streets and enjoyed the NYE fireworks from the deck. Linda had the place spotless and decked out with everything you need for a great stay. The treats and champagne on arrival were a nice surprise. Whilst there was no Wi-Fi, it was a good chance to break away from the IT for the week and to share some good old conversation. I would recommend Bayviews@Rye to other groups/families.

Amazing!

Bayviews@Rye was the perfect house for a group of us to stay and relax in. Within walking distance of the beach, the house is close to the Rye Pier, making it easy to get to everything. Owner was a pleasure to deal with, and provided everything needed for the perfect holiday. Would definitely come back!

Home away from home at Bayview@Rye

Our large group of friends (10 adults) have just spent a wonderful evening staying at Bayview@Rye. The house is perfect for a group yet would be equally well suited to a couple of families or group of ladies on a girls weekend away. Being spread over two levels gave privacy to everyone and the two separate toilets/ 3 bathrooms were big pluses (no waiting in queues!) The views from the balcony are great yet you're far enough away from the noise and bustle of Rye to get absolute peace. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with all the necessary equipment and the extras that are provided were a very welcome surprise. Very comfy beds too. All in all a very enjoyable stay - we'd love to come back.

Charming and relaxing!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Bayviews@Rye particularly due to the open plan living and kitchen area, beautiful verandah with BBQ and ease of use (kitchen was well stocked). The owner, Linda, is friendly, very helpful and definitely made us feel welcome. Close to main shops and beach with plenty to do in surrounding areas. Definitely recommend to friends and look forward to coming back next year!!
