Lots of character, the house with its mix of sandstone externally and timber inside, and the garden even in wintry conditions, which our little dog enjoyed. The heating in the house is amazing. Nowhere remains cold for long! Highly recommended.

Ballarat getaway
Cute cottage, lovely gardens and comfy beds. More direct prompt communication with owner would have been great eg: mobile contact.
Beautiful house and gardens, you will really forget where you are with the surroundings. Our fur baby loved the fireplace and discovering the large gardens.
Would love to come back.
Thanks guys
What an amazing hidden gem. From the outside gardens to the stunning loft and fireplace our family loved this property and the owners where amazing with any queries we had. Highly recommend.
The property was the perfect size for our short stay and well appointed with linen and towels. Communication with the property manager was prompt.
We did have some problems with the lock and had to use the rear door to gain access to the property.
I do wonder why the second story bathroom had a window above the toilet looking out in a rear yard? Not very private.
This is a lovely, secure property designed to have a country hide away feel although it’s in the city of Ballarat. Lots of trees and bird life. Our hosts were lovely and very helpful and communication was excellent.
This property is fantastic. We had a mother-daughter weekend here. Very clean and well maintained. The house and gardens were beautiful. The open fire was awesome. We were very warm and cosy. The house is well hidden from other houses and felt very private. The decor was lovely. The only thing we missed is we like to watch a movie at night and it didn't have the facilities to offer this. Only free to air TV. A small thing however and didn't take away from our great weekend. Would definitely stay here again.
Well you would think you were in the country amazing rambling garden tucked away in a court quaint house very rustic great atmosphere lived the open fire
Arriving at the gate you know you've made the right choice. From there your holiday mind set gets set in stone as you arrive into the welcoming and warming home with all the nooks needing for a relaxing break.
Enjoy the spaces available alone, stay together by the fireplace or enjoy the gorgeous backyard complete with BBQ. Either way the decision to choose Stonehenge is the right way to go.

Lovely home, very relaxing. Beautiful gardens. Perfect for a family getaway to Ballarat.
The overall aesthetics were gorgeous. Beautiful, private gardens and secluded location. 7 people stayed, with 1 person needing the sofa bed. Unfortunately the sofa bed was unusable as it was broken on one corner and a bar across shoulder blades isn't pleasant to sleep on.
I realise that the house had been booked out immediately prior to us however the cleanliness of the kitchen utensils wasn't fantastic and additional bathroom supplies were lacking.
I wouldn't say it is a family friendly home as there is no privacy within the house and no blind on the upstairs toilet, accompanied by broken louvred doors meant there was really only one private toilet to use.
I would recommend this home for a couple, or a group of friends without children as there is no quiet room in the home if children need sleep.
Outside was gorgeous but the BBQ was dirty and the outdoor furniture had cobwebs all over them, which is a shame as we were looking forward to enjoying a BBQ.
We were a bit disappointed with the finer details, hence the lower review.
The booking process was easy and our host was friendly and easily contactable.
Fantastic break away from Melbourne. Beautiful gardens, open fire, peaceful, lots of magazines, kid’s toys.
The fence was a bit low in one area and our dogs could get out. It was fixed within an hour of my asking! Thanks Harry.
The gardens are simply amazing and we’re keen to come back in summer
We thoroughly enjoyed the quiet and peaceful location. Our small dog enjoyed exploring the rambling garden. Everything we required for warmth and comfort was provided.
