About this property

Stoneleigh Miners Cottage

This charming and totally unique 1860's styled solid stone and timber Miners Cottage offers peace and tranquility. Nestled amongst towering gums and abundant native wildlife including our resident Kangaroos and Kookaburras, this property is the perfect destination for a romantic getaway. Located in Gordon in the beautiful Central Highlands, the Cottage is just over an hours drive from the Melbourne CBD and within a 1.4 km slightly elevated walk to dine at the funky Gordons Cafe or the Pub.

The space
The Cottage has two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and one with two single beds. The bathroom has a double spa bath and a double shower with two shower heads. The Cottage has reverse cycle air-conditioning and a fire box wood heater ready to go and complete with a supply of firewood.

We do not have an oven, but we have the following cooking facilities;

* Portable electric hot plate
* Electric frypan
* Electric skillet
* Saucepans
* BBQ

We have a small laundry, but no washing machine.

We do not provide wi-fi.

Guest access
Guests have full access to the Cottage and the surrounds.

Other things to note
Generous breakfast provisions are provided for the first morning.

To access the second bedroom, please book for 3 or 4 people.

The rate per night is $190 plus an extra $50 per person plus a $50 cleaning fee . A two night stay for 4 people would cost $630.

Cozy weekend with the hubby

We were very impressed with the accomodation. Loved the thought that was put into the design, the welcome and hospitality was second to none. Loved the shower and bath and fire. We have stayed in lots of places around the state and this is by far our favourite. We will definitely be back! We would love to rate 9.5 stars if we could!!

Heaven

Had a very relaxing stay in this gorgeous cottage, in a beautiful garden setting. It was hot when I arrived but cool inside due to the cottage being made of stone. Very comfortable and cosy with everything you need. Plenty of food and drinks if you want to stay inside but close to town if you want to venture out. The bed was very comfy and I had a great sleep. The shower wonderful and will definitely try the spa next time. Loved the verandah and sitting, reading and watching the birds and rabbits. Hope to stay longer next time! Thank you. Warm regards.
