SOME THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND
The Vine Lodge property is a heritage treasure and we treat it as such. Some sections of the building fabric are fragile. Your historic experience may be characterized by floorboards that creek, uneven sandstone paving, steps with non-standard rises, low door openings and flaking lime wash wall finishes. Enjoy your country experience, away from screens. We have one television in the house. We love parties and pets, but not at our place. Most guests bring indoor shoes, pack your best slippers.
Please note that Long Weekends have a minimum stay of 3 nights and the summer period 23 December to 15 January has a minimum stay of 4 nights and will be charged at weekend rates.

The property was lovely and well appointed. Beautiful surrounds and easy access to the local village. We enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this venue to others.
Stayed at Vine Lodge for a 2 night golf trip. The place was absolutely amazing. It was spotless and had everything we could have asked for and more. We will be back.
We had 6 couples plan a long weekend in the Bowral region with planned cellar doors and restaurants.
The accommodation was great and comfortable with good shared living areas and enough privacy for each couple.
This property exceeded all of our expectations. Beautiful surrounds, amazing old buildings and an extensive property with gardens a fire pit and beautiful pool to enjoy during our stay. The fully equipped house and sleep out buildings made our stay very memorable.
We loved the quirkiness of the historic house. Plenty of amenities and a short walk into Exeter for coffee. We had the bonus of monthly markets at the end of the driveway!
A family stay for our son’s wedding in Fitzroy Falls. All rooms were well equipped. Excellent communal areas inside and out.
Would loved to have stayed longer to make full use of the accommodation. Excellent for large groups.
We had such a lovely stay at Vine Lodge, thank you! The house is beautiful, both the heritage and renovated sections, and there is plenty of space for the kids to run around. Even on a rainy weekend we had a blast sitting by the fire and popping by the local winery. Could recommend more highly.
We had a wonderful stay at Vine Lodge over New Year’s Eve with friends and our young children, and it couldn’t have been a better place to see in the new year together. The lodge was beautifully presented, spacious, and thoughtfully laid out, which made it ideal for a group stay with kids. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax, play, and spend quality time together without feeling cramped. The setting felt peaceful and welcoming, yet still perfect for a celebratory break. We loved how well equipped the lodge was — everything we needed was there, making the stay easy and stress-free, especially with children in tow. It struck a great balance between being cosy and special enough for New Year’s, while also being practical for families.Overall, Vine Lodge was a fantastic choice for a festive group getaway. We made some really lovely memories there and would happily return, whether for another celebration or just a relaxing break with friends and family.
Had our daughters wedding Sommerly house and this was very convenient. Hostess beautiful, organised. Looks great in photos but they don’t do it justice. It’s was an amazing historical home that had been renovated and styled to perfection. Beautiful breezeway with its huge doors. Gardens and pool immaculate and large areas for seating inside and out. The large verandas were perfect and totally privatacy. Thank you for your beautiful house. Will be back.
The photos don’t do justice to how beautiful Vine Lodge and the surrounding grounds actually are. I’d rarely go back to the same place twice but I’m already considering booking again. Highly recommended!
The property is beautiful, we stayed here with my family to celebrate my mums birthday and the pool is even better in real life. We all had a fantastic time. Highly recommend.
We had the most amazing weekend at Vine Lodge. The house was perfect for 7 couples and there was enough space for everyone to relax. We all enjoyed lying by the pool in the afternoons. I would highly recommend Vine Lodge as weekender with friends or family.
We had a wonderful weekend away at this beautiful property. The house was fully equipped with everything we could have needed and the grounds and atmosphere was lovely. Very much recommend a stay.
Had a wonderful time exploring the Exeter area-such a beautiful area with lovely towns to explore, markets to visit and walks to do. Property stunning .

AN AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL PLACE
This property is possibly the most beautiful place I have stayed. The original house has such historical character and it has been added onto to make a very comfortable and relaxing home. The view is stunning. The garden is spectacularly beautiful. There’s lots of room, a great location, very relaxing and feeding the hens and collecting eggs were the biggest hit with everyone! A farm stay I will definitely be returning to.
