The Dreamery - Skenes Creek

Nestled in the charming surf town of Skenes Creek, this four-level pet-friendly home offers spectacular ocean views and is just a leisurely 5-minute stroll from the beach. Ideal for families and friends, it provides ample space and relaxed comfort, making it the perfect retreat.

Access the beach easily by walking along Motts Lane until you reach the car park, then take the steps directly onto the sand.

The lounge features a magnificent stone open fireplace with panoramic views stretching towards Apollo Bay. Enjoy the changing skies and ocean from the expansive 8-seater lounge, whether it's rainy, windy, or sunny.

Entertainment is abundant with Blu-ray systems in both the lounge and the rumpus/second living area, an extensive Blu-ray and DVD library, several streaming services and Foxtel. There's also a well-stocked library with cookbooks and board games for your enjoyment.

For those who can work remotely, the home offers NBN internet and a dedicated work-from-home area in the lounge room.

The enormous deck boasts views of Skenes Creek beach, a glass balcony, and outdoor seating for ten. The north-facing part of the deck is a sunny haven where you can watch the waves and be joined by local birds, including fairy wrens, willie wagtails, and occasionally a magnificent king parrot.

The spacious kitchen is a cook's delight, featuring a dishwasher, ample baking dishes, and a slow cooker. The large dining table seats ten, making it ideal for family meals and gatherings.

The main bedroom, located on the top level, features a king bed with stunning ocean views, allowing you to fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to the sunrise. The second bedroom offers a queen bed, and the third bedroom accommodates up to four guests with a queen bed and king single bunks. All beds are recently upgraded Koala beds and mattresses.

The bathroom includes a walk-in shower with a handrail, a heated tiled floor, and a massive rain shower head. A new powder room with a handrail has also been added. Outside, an outdoor hot shower is available for rinsing off sand and surfboards. Additionally, the property features a convenient Level 2 EV Charger for electric vehicles.

Nice off-season stay

This spacious property is in a lovely location and does have nice views (albeit over neighbouring house roofs and gardens). All of the amenities/appliances/plumbing fixtures are very nice, but the house itself could use just a touch of TLC to deep clean the high corners, freshen the paint, etc. (nothing that would keep me from staying again). Liked being in Skenes Creek for quieter locale.

not the best we've stayed at

the location is great , access to beach great , very good dog friendly setup and secure ........BUT ..... Not enough fire wood and it was wet The oven door does not close or seal properly The milk left in fridge was weeks out of date The carparking area is very wet and slippery [ needs gravel or roadbase ] The guitar was in very poor condition ...yes im a guitarist ,wasn't expecting much but disappointing .....why even advertise it , The record player was non - existent ....yes we took records to play , again why advertise it if its not there

Perfect location for a relaxing holiday. Loved the view and the big open fire.

Great value. We only had the 2 of us there but it is certainly big enough for a big family with a perfect seperate area for kids to hang out and watch movies. Nice short walk to a perfect beach too. We will definitely be back.

What a place!

The house is placed wonderfully near the beach where the sound of the waves crashing in the distance can lul you to sleep at night. Beautiful, clean home with everything you need. Will be back again for sure!

The property was great. I took our two dogs and they had a great time. Plenty of backyard for them to run and is enclosed so you are able to leave them when required. Only a block to the beach and a great view! I would return in the future!

Birthday Weekend Away

What a little gem of a place and being able to see the ocean and hear it was absolute bliss. The location was perfect as we could walk to the beach and it was not far to drive to the shops either which is so convenient. Here are a few suggestions as we will definitely be back. We absolutely loved our stay and the house was so spacious and homey. Bed was pretty comfortable and linen was good quality. The toilet pray lid was broken and having to look at an open toilet brush is not ideal. Fence surrounding property needs fixing as it could fall over and hurt pets or even people. Gate at back was leaning forward and I had to wedge something against it. No cushions on the chairs or deck chairs so sitting outside was not as comfortable. Dogs water bowl was rusty and the windows pretty dirty on the outside so the view was a bit blurry. Having salt and pepper, oil and just the basics would be nice too as we did cook one night and had to drive to the shops to get oil. Most places supply that. Check our time should be 11am as it’s not nice having to rush and pack up so early on a Sunday morning. Thanks again for a fabulous stay.

Very nice place to stay with fantastic views. Fire was very Smokey and really hurt our eyes at times it was so bad the smoke alarm kept going off and we had to keep windows open which made it pointless having a fire on. The split system in the lounge room upstairs also wasn’t working. Other than that it was a great trip

A little disappointed

Property was lovely and quiet, and well-positioned to capture the sights and sounds of the ocean. It does however present some challenges for people with any mobility issues; there are four levels and the only bathroom is on the third level! I don't believe this is very clear when booking. We were unable to unlock the 'back' door which made things pretty difficult to access the lounge. The property manager did offer to send someone around. The clothes dryer did not work, and there is no coffee machine. Great outdoor space for our dog, but if your dog is troubled by stairs and slippery floors this is probably not the best place for you. For the price of the property, I expected more and we were left somewhat disappointed.

Excellent property

We really loved this house and the location... The four stars rather than five was due to the smell of damp concrete. We closed off the lower living area and didn't use it which helped a lot... Otherwise we loved our stay, thank you!!!
