Bayside Retreat is a large, double storey secluded family home. Located at Daniels Bay in the southern part of Bruny Island, it's just 100 metres to the Lunawanna jetty/boat ramp & only a 5 minute drive to Cemetery Beach. Whether you're a keen fisherman or just want to get away for a quiet weekend and relax on the north facing deck and watch the world go by, Bayside Retreat is perfect for you!
Keep an eye out for our pet echidna, and at night time you might see see the owl which often visits.
Bayside Retreat is a large, modern double storey house including a deck overlooking Daniels Bay, with views of Huon Island & Satellite Island.
Bayside Retreat is a 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom house including double glazed windows, reverse cycle heat pump & eight additional panel heaters throughout the house.
A large rumpus with tv & table tennis for the kids.
Undercover parking.
Cot available on request.
(2 fishing rods & tackle provided).
Puzzles, cards, books & board games.

Perfect family getaway

This was one of the best we have stayed in, everything we needed at our fingertips with beautiful views. The property was very clean and had all the comforts we needed!!! Very spacious with plenty of room for a big family.

We stayed at Bayside Retreat for three nights in January. Clean and comfortable. Spacious rooms with three toilets, so no lining up required . Table tennis table is a bonus in the game room and we used it. Just be aware to stock up on supplies at Snug IGA as Bruny hasn't got any supermarkets. Thank you Amella.

Excellent location, 10 minute drive to great pub food, 5 minute drive to wine and cheese. Relaxing outlook over the bay. House was brilliant and well represented by pictures. All rooms very comfortable, all expected facilities provided. Great amount of space for families. Beds comfortable, bathrooms expansive. No Wi-Fi, but mobile reception good. Highly recommend.

Beautiful setting, absolutely tranquil and serene right by the water. Property easily accessible. House well set up and very clean and tidy. Lounge room small, and limited indoor dining space but large table outside on the balcony to accomodate meals for larger groups - under cover but just a bit cool depending on weather! Also no wifi unfortunately. Overall a great stay.

Great location looking over the water. Table tennis a big plus for the kids and bedrooms/ bathrooms great. Sleep 2 families with ease. Living space a bit tight but you spend most time checking out Bruny so no issues. Need some more wine glasses & salad servers (easily fixed).

The location was fabulous for exploring the entire island. Stunning views and a well appointed property made the stay very enjoyable. The house has everything we needed. The three bathrooms were an added bonus. We would highly recommend staying here and it will be our place of choice on return trips. Can’t wait to return.

The house is as central as you can get to all touristy things, which kept driving to a minimum. The property itself is clean, tidy and has all the mod-cons of a new home. Fantastic heating as well which would make a winter very pleasurable and the beer fridge on the verandah keeps the drinks super cold :). Would advise to take a fishing rod as there is a quite little jetty just down the road. The only thing missing is games and books for the kids for the quiet relax times - so if you have kids take stuff with you.You will also need your own water toys. Loved the place and would stay again...highly recommended.
