Gould's Cottage, a restored Convict Built Cottage, was originally built around 1850. Located only minutes from the centre of Hobart, Salamanca and the waterfront, Gould's Cottage is also only 250 metres from the Old Cascade Brewery and Cascade Gardens.
With fantastic views of Mount Wellington, Gould's Cottage is only a short drive from the many bush walks throughout Wellington Park. Another highlight, located only 50m from the cottage, is the Convict Female Factory and the Hobart Rivulet walk which meanders all the way through South Hobart and into the city centre.

I've stayed in the stables out the back previously. Yet again the hosts were great. Lovely area and it was a treat to eat out at the Cascade Brewery on our first night.
This is a lovely cottage and was filled with fresh flowers. All the essentials are on offer, i.e. washing machine, good size kitchen, ensuite and bathroom, lounge and dining table and a lovely lamp. Our stay in this cottage made our holiday very enjoyable and relaxing! Very convenient location.
This stay is filled with a welcoming warmth. Wonderful location, with the cascade brewery just up the road for convenient dinners. No complaints, only compliments!!
Cottage was beautiful, very nicely done up. Had to park in the carpark a few metres down the road but was not an issue at all. Very clean and welcoming. Would visit again.
We have always loved staying in South Hobart and although this cottage is located on a street that can be busy at times, the noise wasn't an issue.
We found the cottage very comfortable and cosy and lots of space to spread out.
The kitchen was very well equipped as was the rest of the accommodation.
Thanks to Anne for our special goodies left in the cupboard,
Really enjoyed being able to have a bath.
Only criticism is we felt the front of the house was in need of a good vacuum as there was a lot of hair on the mat and it felt very grubby. We are sorry to make a negative comment regarding this delightful cottage but that is how we felt.
Everything was in walking distance, the cottage itself was very cute, the bathtub was most enjoyable - especially for us coming from a 4 day hike.
Highly recommended!
The kitchen was well kitted to allow cooking of simple meals and the bedrooms very comfortable. Bathroom door of ensuite did not have a catch. Lovely stay
The property was ok for what we required. There was only two of us. Jo car park was I pain as we had to park 80 metreaway and carry our gear. The house was nice and clean. Enough room. The place was very cold. Has heat pump not big enough for the icebox. Couple fans pushing the heat down would be beneficial. Enjoyed stay other wise. Centrally located in town. Thanks
Quant from outside. Walk inside awful stench in old bathroom & first bedroom. Couldn’t sleep there so we left. We tried to contact owner NO RESPONSE!
2nd email to owner still NO RESPONSE!
