We've been down this side of Galveston a few times now (stayed at the house right north of this property last year). We really enjoy it b/c of the proximity to the ocean - not the beach, although it's obviously super close, but I love the fact that my kids can go down and play between the house and the rocks and we don't have to worry about the ocean.
The biggest downside with this property is the master bedroom. Given the views from it are minimal, I would rather have a larger bed on the opposite wall where you get to really enjoy your sleep. My wife and I aren't large people, but you could feel every move and you just bump into each other all night. We come from a King, but even a Queen would have been nice.
Everything else was as expected. Nice deck space - would have LOVED an outdoor table. The lock didn't work when we got there, but luckily there was a spare key hidden.
All in all, we enjoyed our visit. Wasn't the ideal comfort for the 8 or so hours you "rested", but everything else was great.
