Gulf Front - 2/1 Private House/Beach - Spectacular Views

Enjoy your own private home right on the Gulf. There are two buildings on the property. The Main House is a 2/2.5 and the VRBO #923682. This unit is a 2/1 rental unit and is on the top floor of a 2 story Carriage/Guest House. The bottom unit is a 1/1, VRBO #895527. It has gorgeous views of the Gulf from several windows. The Master Bedroom has a king bed and the 2nd Bedroom has a queen bed. There is a full bathroom with a double sink, tub/shower combo, new cabinets, mirrors, lighting and tile. There is a fully stocked kitchen with NEW stainless steel appliances (dishwasher, fridge, microwave, stove, range), granite counter tops, cabinets and porcelain tile. The dining area has a table and 4 chairs and 2 folding chairs for more guests. The living area has a queen sleeper sofa. (sleeps 6)

There is a screened gulf front patio with spectacular, panoramic, unobstructed, pristine views of the Gulf of Mexico. The unit overlooks the gulf and offers a serene setting with waves crashing onto the rocks just steps from your door.

We also have a 1 bedroom/1 bath bottom apt. that is now available to rent. It is VRBO # 895527
Manasota Key is known for its lush vegetation and white sandy beaches just off the coast of Englewood. Kayaking, jet skiing, snorkeling, parasailing and various other activities are available on this quaint island. Its location is within comfortable driving distance to Sarasota, Tampa, and Fort Myers. Sarasota airport is closest (45 mins.) Fort Meyers airport is an hour and 20 mins. Tampa airport is an hour and 40 mins. Sarasota and Tampa have the best car rental rates.

NO NEED TO LUG MAJOR ITEMS TO THIS UNIT. Beach umbrellas and chairs are free to take to the public beaches. We have plenty of beach towels and coolers as well and pretty much anything you'll need to make a day at the beach comfortable. Just ASK before you come to see if we have it!

The left side of our property has been unofficially designated as our "renters area." We have provided a patio table, 6 chairs and a large umbrella for dining, 4 comfortable lounge chairs, additional umbrellas if needed and a fire-pit. There are also a couple of benches and a couch overlooking the water for sunset relaxation. The right side of our property is designated for owner activities please :)

We can also arrange travel to and from local restaurants for a minimal fee if you wish to drink and not drive.

Fabulous stay

Loved the quietness and access to beach. Owner’s were very friendly and available. We were looking for a place with little to no people to decompress and got it. Hated to leave and would love to visit again.

We absolutely love this property as well as the hosts. This trip was our second time back and we have already booked our third and are planning our fourth trip/return. Francine and Fred are amazing hosts that go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need for your stay. This was a great experience for our family. Francene and Frank are very helpful and they have done a beautiful job with their property. It’s a great view and steps from the beach. The kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking supplies. There are plenty of towels and other things you might need. They provide toys and supplies for the beach. The property inside and out is very clean. We are already planning our return trip next summer!

Paradise

This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed in the unit since 2009 - with a different owner each time. It gets better every time! Furniture and master bed are comfy and kitchen is very well stocked. The beach is perfection - beautiful old Florida. We ate at Lock and Key and drove to Venice to Captain Eddie’s. Both are wonderful. Francine is a gracious host and met us at check in to give us a tour. We’ll definitely be back!

Shark teeth

Amazing house with amazing views of the gulf of Mexico. The house is rite on the water and has a very private feel. We were able to find 200 shark teeth in two days with 3 of us searching. Me and my brother in law we're able to snorkel to find about 100 teeth which was amazing. House is very clean. And owner is very responsive highly recommend this place.

Paradise in a nutshell

We had a beautiful stay at Francine's place. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the photos do not do it justice. You simply have to go and see it for yourself. Francine's place is lovely and updated. You also have a screened-in porch on which to take in the views and the ocean breeze as you enjoy lunch, dinner, a glass of wine, a cup of coffee. The kitchen is well stock if you decide to cook during your stay. The icing on the cake is that you are literally steps away from the sand & water and this beach isn't crowded, it feels absolutely private. Will be booking again; we fell in love with Manasota Key. Thank you Francine!

Beach House Paradise

Thank you Francine for sharing your slice of Heaven with us! The accommodations were spotless, comfortable, and full of beautiful beach decor. Not having to deal with crowds of people and being able to be on what felt like our own private beach was perfect. We found many shark’s teeth, unique shells, and even saw a huge sea turtle on an evening walk coming in to nest. The kitchen was also fully stocked and made cooking easy, and the grill was perfect. The chairs, umbrellas, sifters, and towels made the experience even better! We didn’t have to go out of our way to find anything, it was all right there. We enjoyed our stay and getting to meet you and your husband! Thank you for being so accommodating.

Cute and clean beach cottage

Our stay was great. The upstairs cottage has a small screened in porch, and great air conditioning. The outdoor shower was nice to rinse salt/sand off. Great view of the waves. Fully equipped kitchen. If I was going to think of anything that could be improved upon, a larger outside shaded area would be welcome for the bright sunny/hot summer days to lengthen our time outside…maybe like one of those larger sun sails or a canopy of some sort. They do provide some smaller beach umbrellas and plenty of seating and grills. Its an adorable (and pet friendly!!) property and thankful to have found it!! We look forward to staying again.

Weekend Getaway

There is nothing like a relaxing weekend stay at the beach (except for a full week at the beach) and this place provided everything we could have wanted. Peaceful setting right on the water, no crowds, no loud noise, just peaceful time in a beautiful setting. Francine does a wonderful job providing everything you need. The sunsets are breathtaking, the shelling is great, the walks on the beach are memorable. This was our second stay and I'm sure there will be many more in our future.

We are in LOVE!!!

We absolutely loved our two weeks stay at Cottages By The Sea in Englewood. Our hosts, Fran and Fred went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything that we would need. We were so surprised when we opened the frig to fine a nice bottle of Champagne that they left for us to enjoy on our 50th Wedding Anniversary! We walked miles and miles every day and found all kinds of shells and tons of shark's teeth, over 600 shark's teeth in total!!! We went to the Dearborn Street market on both Thursdays while we were there which was AWESOME. So much to do in this cool community. We loved that Englewood is such a dog friendly community too. We met so many people from all over the USA and a family who were visiting from France too!! We will definitely be back for another stay here!!!

This property is fantastic!! The pictures do not do it justice. Ocean and beach are 50 feet from the patio. Best ocean front I have stayed in. Apartment was clean had everything we could have needed. We just did a girls weekend but would defiantly come back for longer!! Francine was very nice and answered all questions. Highly recommend!!!

Fabulous stay

I've been looking for a new place since my usual on Sanibel was destroyed by Ian. This one is just about as quiet and the unit is even closer to the beach. I'm thrilled and will go back. I debated not giving a good review because that means I'll have more competition when I want to return, but Francine is so wonderful, I couldn't do it.

This is our second stay here. We loved the first stay in ‘21 and we loved the second stay in ‘23. It’s a perfect location as you are steps from the beach. It’s easy to access all the great things Manasota and Englewood have to offer as well

Great location

We really missed the trees. They are still in the photo but the storm a year ago destroyed the look and feel of this spot. Overall the place could use some updating but all was functional. This was our third visit. It was a good time. The weather and beach was beautiful.
