About this property

Aqua Vista - Stunning lake and tree top views. Relaxing Holiday

Cool in summer, Warm in winter, open plan 2 bedroom lake house with a true rainforest feeling and spectacular water views! Located in a quiet street, large forest garden and the lake at your back door. Enjoy an airy living area, large deck and 2 bedrooms: 1 new queen bed, and 1 tri-bunk (sleeps two at the bottom and 1 at the top). A travel cot and high chair are available. A barbecue on the spacious deck and linen is provided.
The house also provides - air-conditioning in the living area that heats and cool the entire house fast, extra heaters and blankets in bedrooms, free wifi access (Broadband so fast access),TV , games and books. The kitchen is fully equipped, including dishwasher, oven, cooktop,microwave, coffeemaker, etc. All pots and utensils are provided. A workspace is provided in the second bedroom or people can also easily work from the dining table in the living room with nice lake views.

Please note that there are stairs to the house. The house is therefore not suitable for people in a wheelchair or who have trouble with stairs. The yard is not fenced and the back is steep so is not suitable for walking.

Great view

The house was very clean and matched the photos. The steps and driveway are a bit challenging, but the views of the lake more than make up for it. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Aqua Vista

Had a nice stay. lovely and clean. It's pet friendly, but we did not realize there was no backyard as such for our dogs to hang out safely. It was a steep un-fenced area at the rear of the house, and not really a great place for pets.

Cosy and well maintained holiday home

Our family had a very pleasant stay at Aqua Vista for 3 nights and the house was very well maintained and clean. Just right for the 4 of us and our dog. The views from the balcony are lovely and family brekkies and lunches on the balcony became an integral part of our trip. Rob the owner is very friendly and agreed to a last minute late checkout which was very much appreciated.

Amazing view of lake

Amazing view of lake and nice tree top location, Stairs to property are steep but there is a hand rail, there were lights on the stairs but they no longer work so not for the faint hearted at night. House was clean but the bed was very low standard ie sore backs. Other furniture was I guess standard for a holiday house. Toliet seat was cracked so that was unpleasant, surely a cheap easy fix for owner. This house advertised a 9 star rating in 2017 on the door, its no longer that in 2025. Some care would get it back to that rating.

The prefect lakeside retreat

Such a comfortable home surrounded by breathtaking views - the perfect place for a writer's retreat. It had everything we needed, although we couldn't quite work out how to use the convection microwave oven. Would definitely book here again.

A wonderful finale to our 2 weeks touring the North Coast. We love Smiths Lake and the house was homely, cosy and serene. We loved the cosy cottages furnishings, location and simplicity. A wonderful stay with thanks to Rob for his welcome and orientation to the property.

Week end away at Aqua Vista

The place is immaculate. Environment is tranquil and relaxing. If there is only one minor setback that would be the Wi-Fi. It is slow and almost impossible to access websites and sending photos. Other than that everything else is great!

A little piece of paradise!

We had a wonderful time at the property. So tranquil and peaceful. A morning cuppa out on the deck itself makes the trip worthwhile. The lake is just a few meters walk downhill from the backyard which is awesome. Everyone loved it so much including the dog!

We are a family of 5 and have enjoyed coming to Smiths Lake together since 1995. My Dutch parents have lived in this house for a few years until they moved up North to be closer to us. We hope our secret gives you as much happiness and pleasure as it has given us over the years.

Why they chose this property

Why this property?

* The lake views are breathtaking every single time, especially during sunset. The birds and owls are wonderful and the quietness, privacy and trees really add to being away from your home. Listening to the local bird life to relax is also highly recommended. We look forward to welcoming you!

* Remote working: NBN, Wifi, I usually work from the lounge or dining table whilst enjoying the lake views, when it is warm I enjoy the deck too. Lake views and the trees increase my productivity and my creative thinking and solutions. When I need to change positions I move to the kitchen bench so I can stand or sit on a bar stool. A desk and ergonomic/ comfy chair are available in the second bedroom. I personally love working from here whilst still being away. You will love it too.
