Great location and home was very well appointed! Quiet street and home was clean, comfortable and we had a great time during out stay. Highly recommend!
We enjoyed our stay. The house is tastefully decorated and had the amenities we needed for our stay. It was exactly what we expected, and we were pleased.
Communication with property manager fantastic….especially when I needed an extra night after mistakenly not booking a long enough stay….they were prompt in communication with me and saved the day!
The host was extremely helpful and attentive. The home is very quaint, the a/c is fantastic which is extremely important on triple digit heat days!, and it has everything thing you need along with a good location.
We traveled to Waco for a girls’ trip over the weekend and the house was great! The house was the perfect size for 4 of us to relax and unwind. The house was within a few minutes of driving distance to everything in Waco. The property managers were very communicative and made sure we had what we needed daily. I would stay here again.

Cute House
Villa Stay is communicative and responsive to needs.
We recommend booking this property through another source and not through this site.
We had a fantastic stay. The house was exactly as pictured. Everything was updated and clean, the host was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. It was close to the Magnolia silos and other shopping. Would highly recommend!

We ended driving home that night instead of staying as the property did not seem as it had been cleaned very well and we did not feel comfortable staying.
The house was central to everything we wanted to do in Waco. It is 6 minutes from Magnolia, the zoo, Baylor, Heritage Creamery, Slow Rise pizza, and the Dr. pepper museum. A great number of food options and ice cream shops about the same distance. Plenty of space at the home for 4 adults. There was a bunk bed, but we never had to use it. Am overall good experience.
We loved the home decor and how clean everything was. the ease of check in and check out was so convenient for us. The extra toiletries were great when my friend forgot her toothbrush. The Queen in the large bedroom has a very nice mattress on it, I slept well. The home is older but charmingly updated except maybe the plumbing lol, don’t expect great water pressure but it’s passable. Location was great, price great, would love to stay again. Many thanks.
We came to see the Eclipse of April 8, 2024 with the 4 minutes of total darkness. We visited so many things while staying in Waco and enjoyed all. The house is located just minutes from everything which was so nice. We loved eating ice cream every night at Heritage Creamery!!! We were able to visit the Dr. Pepper Museum, The Texas Lone Ranger Museum, the Suspension Bridge, the Chilsolm Trail Memorial, the Silos and visit several parks for a picnic lunch!
We plan to be back to see the Mammoth Museum and visit the water park. Hopefully soon as it warms up enough!!!
Overall the property was as billed. Clean and in a great location. However; Water pressure in the master half bath was only a trickle at the sink. The shower in the full bath was very difficult to operate as there was really not an on or off position for the hot and cold, you just spin the knobs until you find the random point at which each turns off independently of the other. We recognize the property is a historic home and it has been well restored; however, these issues should be easily corrected with a good plumber. Otherwise an acceptable stay.

Response from VrboOwner on 2 May 2024
David,
We appreciate your feedback and are pleased to hear that you found the property clean and in a great location. Thank you for bringing the water pressure and shower operation issues to our attention. We will be sure to have plumber address these concerns promptly, this is a historic house so we will have to work with the owner to come to the best solution. Your input is valuable to us, and we hope to welcome you back for an even better stay in the future. Thank you for choosing Villastay Vacation Rentals.
The house was comfortable and close to most things we wanted to do. The problem for me was an extreme deodorizing smell that triggered my allergies. After it faded there was a bit of a sewer smell. The allergies made my overall trip less enjoyable. If a person doesn’t battle allergies I am sure they would be fine.
This house is a historic charmer with generously sized rooms. Very convenient to downtown, the Silo district and any supplies you might need, but neighborhood is a little sketchy. It was fairly clean, however, my 16 month old grandson’s feet were black after just a couple of hours running off some energy inside the house. The plumbing issue with the shower in the March 2024 review is still not resolved, and on day 2 of 4, we reported a terrible sewer smell in the house and never received a response from the property manager. Overgrown weeds for landscaping, and very loud street noise in living room and street side bedroom all hours of the day. Large cockroach in living room one night. The negatives outweigh the pros on this house.

Beware
I'm sorry but you asked.
1. Driving up house looked abandoned. Lawn not mowed shrubbery overgrown.
2. Kitchen hot water is a mere dribble after waiting 15 minutes. Issues with the faucet need addressing.
No dish drain rack or rubber mat. One small dish towel for the week.
3.Two gunshots in the neighborhood at 4;00 in the afternoon. Not fireworks. .22 caliber.
4.Traffic noise is unbelievable day and all night.
5. One small hotel soap bar is inadequate for a week stay. Not enough bath towels for a week.
6. Front bed is queen, sheets are king, blankets are twin size. Really? Back bed needs a step to get in as it's really that high.
I usually don't complain but prospective guests need to be aware of the issues with 2419 Washington home.
6. Needs all new water lines and a new furnace filter in the ceiling.
