amalè Villa Sundaram is a private three-bedroom villa, located within an exclusively gated estate in Port Douglas. Inspired by the tropical pavilion style living of South East Asia, Sundaram features a central garden path with a northern and southern pavilion on either side and leads to a wet edge swimming pool complete with poolside cabana with daybed. The sparkling swimming pool is located lakeside and you have your own private jetty too! The northern pavilion features the gourmet kitchen and the dining and living areas. Across the way, the southern pavilion houses three bedrooms, including the master with ensuite and direct access to the pool area.

Beautiful villa in superb setting for a relaxing get away

We had a family trip to far North Queensland and found this villa to have all we wanted and more. Serene environment, fabulous for the family even with children of different ages visiting. The villa design provided privacy for different family needs and wonderful communal places.

Had potential but poor cleaning and comminication

Great location and layout but property manager did not communicate well or clean property well. Firstly our room wasn’t ready at 2pm, this could have been communicated prior to us arriving. So when we arrived the cleaner rushed and left the kitchen not properly cleaned. Secondly dishwasher broken and smelly, again when I called the property manager she knew about it and said it would be fixed by a date and I never heard from her again. One bathroom smelt like urine and under one bed was broken glass and loads of crumbs/dust. We’ve stayed at hotel part of this resort before and it was beautiful and clean so it was a shame a private listing can’t achieve the same quality.
