About this property
Hawkesbury Haven - Rural Retreat
Hawkesbury Haven Cottage is an as new, beautifully furnished, free standing cabin on 12 acres in a semi-rural area between Windsor and Richmond. It has a luxurious ambiance and so suitable for a romantic weekend or catch up with close family and friends.
Fresh farm eggs and milk are provided, along with coffee and teas, sugar, salt, pepper and olive oil etc.
The cottage has an open plan living/dining/kitchen area with 2 x queen bedrooms. It provides a full kitchen with gas and wood fire heating as well as reverse cycle air conditioning and ceiling fans in each room. Feather and down quilts and electric blankets. A double and single sofa bed and a single roll-away bed can also be utilised (if required).
Unlimited WiFi, a large screen TV providing Foxtel, Netflix and Youtube in the living area with three and two seater comfortable lounges.
We have fenced the front veranda as a safe area for your dog(s) and we are happy for your dog(s) to roam free keeping in mind there are much loved animals on the property including Clydesdales, miniature horses, a donkey, goats, sheep, geese, chickens and a Wheaten Terrier (who loves visitors).
There are many attractions in the Hawkesbury area so please visit the www.discoverthehawkesbury.com.au
Despite Hawkesbury's close proximity to Sydney, it is still very much a rural community, with market gardens, orchards and rich pasture covering much of the landscape from the floodplains to the hills.
Known as the "food basket" for Sydney, the Hawkesbury area grows a vast range of produce including stone fruits, oranges, apples, pecan nuts, berries and various vegetables, many of which are for sale at various stalls dotted around the roads.
Many of the orchards are open for "pick you own" customers. The orange orchards are found on the plains around Freemans Reach and Agnes Banks whilst the apple and stone fruit orchards are located further up the hills of Bilpin, Grose Vale and Kurrajong.
