About this property
The Studio in Bacchus Marsh for up to 8 guests
"The Studio" is a spacious, peaceful and self-contained retreat with a large open plan dining/living space as well as two good-sized bedrooms, a bathroom with bath and shower, a separate powder room/toilet and a laundry cupboard. With a fully equipped kitchen, espresso machine, huge dining table, wi-fi, and a 75 inch TV. Relax on the 3-seater sofas with a book or DVD from extensive collection. Guests can enjoy a game of table tennis, a BBQ, or a bounce on the trampoline.
"The Studio" is set at the rear of our large block and nestled amongst the fruit trees. It is an eco-friendly building designed and built by Andrew a few years ago. Eco features are the double-glazing, solar power, north-facing windows and maximum insulation. One bedroom has a queen size bed, a chest of drawers and a built in wardrobe. The other bedroom has two king single beds, a Queen sized bed, a chest of drawers and a clothes rack. A portacot is available and can be set up in either bedroom if required but you will need your own linen/blankets for this. Each bedroom has reverse cycle air conditioning as does the main studio room. If required, one end of the studio room can be set up with a Queen sized bed behind a privacy screen.
The floor plan in the photos shows the layout of "The Studio" and the dimensions with the main Studio room itself being around 60 square metres and the entire building is around 135 square metres.
"The Studio" is a self-catering stay with some basic breakfast provisions supplied to get you started: cereals, milk, tea and coffee.
Strictly no parties or other events are permitted to be held at "The Studio".
Up to two dogs are permitted to stay but must not be left unattended on the property. We have two dogs that are friendly to people and other dogs so please ensure your dogs are also well socialised in case they are in the backyard at the same time. The property is fenced and gated but in some places the fence is low so it would not suit a dog that likes to jump and escape.
The entire Studio and the surrounding garden is accessible to guests. The space is very private with the Studio being set about 90 metres away from the main residence. Also, only one booking/group at a time can stay at "The Studio". Plenty of off-street parking is available for several vehicles.
Andrew and Sue live in another house on the property and are usually around to assist if needed. Consider making your visit to The Studio a chance to benefit from some natural therapies with a homeopathy session by Andrew and kinesiology by Sue. A detoxifying oil massage is also available. You could also book Andrew for a portrait photography session. It is best to let us know in advance of your visit if you would like to take up any of these options.
Bacchus Marsh has plenty to offer with the parks and gorges, orchards on the Avenue of Honour, berry picking, wineries, cafes and restaurants. It also makes a great base for exploring further afield. Bacchus Marsh is close to Ballarat and Daylesford and is just a 45 minute drive to Geelong or Melbourne on weekends.
"The Studio" is about a 5 minute drive to centre of Bacchus Marsh and 7 minutes to the train station. A bus stop is just 100 metres away.
