Ferndale's Sweet Retreat

This comfortable 3000 sq. foot custom home has three bedrooms , the master bedroom is downstairs, each bedroom has a king bed with top of the line bedding and a flat screen TV in each bedroom. We have additional beds located in the family room there are two sleeper sofas one is a Queen and one is a Full There are 2.5 bathrooms, two with large luxurious soaking tubs and showers, and hair dryers. House is furnished carpet , hardwood flooring and furnishings. Located just two blocks from Main Street, walking distance to Ferndale's great restaurants, bars, art galleries and retail shops.The kitchen has granite countertops and is completely stocked with everything you need to prepare a large meal and stocked with basic condiments. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator(ice maker) , dishwasher, stove, microwave, oven, coffee maker, keruig, french press, Kitchen Aid mixer, blender, service for 24, rice cooker, waffle maker, toaster oven, toaster. The Laundry Room has front loader washer and dryer, iron and ironing board and steamer. The large comfortable living room has two large leather sofas a 75 inch flat screen TV with DVR and DVD player. The kitchen and living room share a two way wood fire place, wood is provided, large selection of books too. The family room which is located upstairs has two sleeper sofa a flat screen TV and DVD player and many board games for your entertainment. The house is equipped with WiFi, and DVR and smart TVS . Dining room table seats six but there is additional seating at the counter. There is an outside shower, a gas BBQ grill and outdoor seating. There is a printer, fax and copy machine. We do charge an additional 20.00 per person per night after 4 guests. We charge a pet fee which is 30.00 Per day/ Per Dog. NO CATS! We have a door bell camera that helps us monitor the number of pets and guests.

We stayed at the Sweet Retreat for a family wedding in Ferndale. The house was well stocked, beds were comfortable. Location was perfect. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood, easy walking distance to Main Street. Would definitely stay here again!

Family vacation to celebrate birthday

Absolutely loved our stay! The house was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed with everything we needed. The large kitchen was especially impressive—well stocked and perfect for cooking and conversation. The location couldn’t be better—just a quick walk to Main Street with shops, restaurants, and more. Highly recommend!

Time with cousins

The house is wonderful, fully equipped, comfortable and close to downtown. The only downside was the lack of TP in the bathrooms, we had to go shopping. Would stay again.

Great place to stay while in Ferndale! Home is very tastefully decorated and well equipped. Walking distance to downtown Ferndale, we would definitely stay again. Only negative were the Buda figures.

This property is one of the nicest and best equipped rentals we have ever stayed in. Beds were comfy, fireplace was wonderful and there was planet of wood. Magnificent kitchen with all the stuff you need to cook a great meal.

I was born and raised in Humboldt County, I grew up on a dairy farm and I spent a lot of my childhood in Ferndale , it's always been a very special place for me when this home came up for sale I knew it was meant to be , I live approximately 35 miles away and own a restaurant , that I've owned and operated for over 47 years. I travel a lot so I appreciate a plush clean well kept accommodation. I have brought all this to Ferndales Sweet Retreat by providing top of the line bedding, leather sofas, five flatscreen TVs and a well-maintained hot tub. If you like to cook then you will appreciate having all the tools and equipment and basic condiments that you would possibly need , if you don't want to cook than you are just a short walking distance to some really great local restaurants.!

Why they chose this property

This large custom home is beautiful, the location is great, there is no need to have a car to explore downtown Ferndale, everything is in walking distance! It is perfect for a romantic get away, or a family weekend!

What makes this property unique

We do allow dogs. However we charge an additional 30.00 per day per dog and we have a pet policy that dog owners must follow and have a signed contract proper to check in. Here is a list of our requirements please look over prior to booking with a pet. Thank You! Guest hereby agrees to comply the following:
1. Guest to pay additional pet fee in the amount of $____30.00 night______ per (night/week).

2. All pets must comply with the following specifications (documentation from an accredited veterinarian must be provided by Guest upon request):

. Must be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations. Heartworm preventive is highly recommended.

3.All pets must be leashed at all times.

4. Guest is responsible for cleaning up any/all pet refuse.

5. Pets are not allowed on furniture or in beds or on bedding at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture may incur extra cleaning fees.

6. All pets are to be treated with a topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. Fleas and ticks are very rampant in this area and can cause harmful/fatal illness to humans and pets.

7. Pet must not cause damage to premises or furnishings. If damages are caused, the cost of the damage may be deducted from security deposit.

8. Guest should prevent pets from producing excessive noise at a level that disturbs neighbors.

9. Pet will not be left unattended for an undue length of time, either indoors or out. Pet will not be left unattended on patio, or porch.

10. Homeowner assumes no responsibility for illness or injury that may incur to pets or humans while on the premises.

The Guest shall be solely responsible for the pet while on the property.
