My wife and I had a great stay here along with another couple. The unit was clean and had everything that we needed. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. We hunted for shark teeth and did some sightseeing. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this unit.

I would like to clarify for future guests that we provide modern 4K Samsung Smart TVs, which offer a wide variety of streaming apps and internet-based channels. As stated in our listing, traditional cable TV is not provided. Guests are welcome to use the pre-installed apps or log into their own personal accounts (Netflix, Hulu, Disney , etc.) to enjoy their favorite content in high definition. We believe these modern features offer more flexibility than basic cable, and we are always available to help if anyone has questions on how to use them during their stay

This house has potential to be beautiful, but there were so many things wrong with it. The first thing I noticed the second we arrived was the smell. The house smelled SO musty, and some of the small bedrooms smelled like wet dog. My allergies botered me the whole week. There were wires hanging from the ceiling where smoke detectors were supposed to be, and other rooms with smoke detectors without batteries. There was hair on the wall of the shower before we used it. The back door to the lanai didn't lock. A towel bar was taped to the wall. The beds and pillows were not comfortable. Just so many things that could be easily fixed that could have made the trip more pleasant.

The back door lock has also been repaired and is now fully functional. • Cleanliness & Air Quality: We have performed a deep professional cleaning of the entire house, including steam cleaning for the carpets to remove any odors. We have also installed dehumidifiers to ensure the air remains fresh. • Maintenance: The bathroom fixtures and towels racks have been secured. We take your comments seriously and are committed to providing a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. We reserved this house in Jan 2026 for a March date. We needed an extra night so I contacted the host. She told us to bring the extra cash rather than going thru VRBO. When we got there I contacted her to see how she wanted to get the money. She told me that someone else had booked it for our extra night so we would have to leave. I told her we had no where to stay and it had been booked since Jan. She said she couldn’t change the other reservation so we need to look for something else quickly. We had to stay with a neighbor of a family member. For the house..1. Fire alarms were either completely missing or no batteries. Previous review complained about this and host said it was fixed.2. The patio door would not lock and my husband had to try to try to adjust it to make it lock. Previous review complained about this also and was told it was fixed. 3. The floors were so dirty that my husband’s new white socks turned black on the bottom.4. The light fixtures all had mismatched bulbs that were either not working or different colors/designs.5. Very few towels without constantly washing them.6. Dishes were limited, especially coffee cups.7. The landscape looked nothing like the online ad. There were broken limbs hanging from the tree, the flower beds were overgrown with weeds.8. Shower in one of the bathrooms sounded like it was about to explode. 9. Hair dryer was listed but it didn’t work.If we could attach pics we would. Nothing like the listing and safety issues.

We strive to provide a 5-star experience, and I’m surprised by this review, as it appears to be a copy of an older comment that no longer reflects the reality of our home. We have recently updated the entire property, including the HVAC system, lighting, and safety alarms—everything is in perfect working order. The guest requested to extend her stay for cash outside the platform. Unfortunately, I had to decline because the house was already booked by another guest for that day. It is disappointing when a host is penalized with a retaliatory review for simply following the rules and honoring other guests' reservations.

Great location!

We loved the house. So close to beaches, all within 30 min (Siesta Key, Mansota Key, Don Pedro) and bike trails, also all within 30 min. (Legacy, Cape Haze Pioneer, and Boca Grande). Yes, as others have said the dishes, towels and curtains don't match. However, the kitchen was well stocked and we had ample towels. Great showers and good beds. I would rent again.

Nice quiet home

We rented for close to 2 months - the house was in a nice quiet neighborhood. The house was fine but needs silverware (which we mentioned to owner but was never brought any). Listing mentions Bikes but what she meant was Bike rentals near by. We had to request the beach chairs and towels that were listed in the description and they were delivered 2 days later. Overall stay was fine.

Great location

House was nice and in a quiet neighborhood. Outside was very well taken care of. Inside was very spacious but none of the window treatments worked in the living room and some light fixtures didn't work throughout the home. There were only 2 washcloths provided among all the mismatched towels. In our opinion the master bed was not very uncomfortable. Other than the listed issues it was a nice place and would be wonderful with a few updates.

The property was not as well stocked or maintained as others I have stayed at. The towels and dishes were all mixed matched and in used condition. 2 of the kitchen chairs were very wobbly or loose at the joints that I would not allow anyone to use them. Small things like laundry soap, paper towels and other basic supplies were either not provided or the item was left almost empty or used up that I had to go shopping the 1st day to have basic supplies. Could not find a vacuum or broom to properly keep the floors clean. Overall a little disappointed.

Odd situation / upkeep / communication

Good: Space in the house overall, lovely master Plenty of beach towels Cooler on wheels provided. The waterway in the back could be fun if we brought fishing pools or a kayak/boat. Close to grocery store. Bad: Little communication with host. Got passcode after arrival. Attic was left open in tha garage which made the garage and house hot. No dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent. One of two towel hangers in the master had fallen off and should be replaced. Could not turn on fans. Had to replace sheets in the guest beds since the sheets were initially dirty. Smelled moldy and two out of five people were coughing due to the conditions. No beach chairs or shade provided. Master sink on the left side is leaking. Dirty tub in the master. Dead bugs everywhere, as well as excessive amounts of dust. Spiders under every sink and next to toilets. Dirty used cloths hanging in laundry room. Washer needs to be cleaned, mold present in seals.

Outside of property very presentable and well kept. Inside: 1. window treatments falling apart. 2. Poor lighting in kitchen. 3. The working fixture in kitchen needed attention. When reported it was never attended to. 4. Vacuum cleaner, iron or ironing board were not provided. They were never listed as provided but it would have been a nice touch to provide them. 5. Floors have been upgraded and look nice.
