Peaceful

This is a very nice property. It's situated on the edge of the woods and is very quiet and very peaceful. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the showers were great! Deer came to visit out by the back deck. Close the sites of Hudson Valley. This is a very nice place to stay and relax.

The perfect quiet retreat

It has been tough to work from home and stare at the same walls that we're also living in. We needed a change of scenery and needed a quiet getaway, someplace where we could work during the day and relax and feel at home at night. We found that with this home. Tali called us to walk through the check in procedures, and when we arrived, there was soft music playing, the "fire" was lit (electric fireplace), and there was even a stuffed animal and a box of chocolates waiting for us! I don't think I've ever felt so welcomed on a trip than arriving here. It had recently snowed and there were paths shoveled out to ensure our safety. The house was meticulously clean, the kitchen had everything we could possibly need except for the food, and the property itself was breathtaking. I think we heard more trains than cars pass by, and it was exactly the type of quiet we needed: quiet at home but a 5-minute drive to town and the nearest grocery store. The Roku TV allows you to connect right to your own streaming apps and logs you out when you depart. There are no keys to lose or forget; you enter the back door with a code that Tali will give you - a word of advice is to screenshot or save it somewhere handy or you'll be scrolling back through text messages like we were! It's a nice change from having to remember another set of keys. Tali checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, which was so appreciated, although we couldn't have possibly needed anything.

A perfect virus retreat

Living with coronavirus in New York City had worn us out. We needed tranquility, natural beauty, and, if possible, a swimming pool. My friend in nearby Red Rock provided the pool. Tali provided the retreat. The house was tastefully furnished. The beds were perfect. Aside from sleeping and preparing meals, we were hardly ever in the house, The deck out back was our center of gravity. It ran the length of the house. The deck was surrounded on three sides by a woods of very tall powerful trees. We saw only a wall of green. Occasional fawns passed through. A woodpecker chopped away at night. I completed each evening by sitting on the deck in the dark smelling and listening to the woods. On warm evenings, I could shed my clothes in this secluded piece of the world..The house is on a dirt road with little traffic. No vehicles passed at night while I was communing with my little forest out back. A freight train passed quietly nearby a few times each night. the deck, We had friends over a few time sitting at the appropriate distance from each other on the deck. Best of all, we luxuriated in the decompression from city life. Tali did everything she could to make this a special stay. We needed excellent wifi. which she supplied. She responded within minuted to text inquiries. All in all, it was a terrific experience!

Tali's Chatham House

I spent August, 2021 at Tali’s Chatham house. The house is equipped with many good things and Tali was mostly agreeable, but if I had read the description more carefully, I would have noted the lack of a dish washer, and blackening curtains or shades, a situation that I immediately rectified (Tali did offer blackening curtains, but many days later). Further, I would have explored the meaning of “not accessible” (as the house is categorized) because entry to this house requires strong and steady legs in order to navigate an uneven cement pathway and eight steep stairs.

Scenic Escape From NYC

Lovely and responsive hostess. Inside exactly as it appears in photos. Not shown are exterior access stairs. Well equipped kitchen, including salad spinner (but no dishwasher). We enjoyed our month long stay.

Beautiful house and property

Had a great 3 night stay! The place was clean, nicely decorated, and bedrooms all comfy and a good size. Tali made sure we had everything we needed and welcomed us to use her BBQ and air fryer (neither of which we took advantage of ☹️). Her backyard is huge with great space for the kids to run/kick soccer ball around). Plus beautiful leaves this time of year! The house was located close to main St where we picked up dinner (loved Blue Plate-good rec from Tali!). We also enjoyed Roaring Twenties brewery close by for happy hour after hiking one day (large grassy area for distancing).

House was great, amazing space on beautiful property!

We had a great time at Tali’s place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures. The neighborhood is very conveniently located (7 minutes away from the gas station/marts/etc) Also the house is located in a very quiet area! Would absolutely recommend to stay there!

Reason why we purchased this property is due to its location.. proximity to town and surrounded by quiet, a little brook and nature .. old timer across the way offers a little bit of "Americana" and is super nice.. he has not succumbed to 7 digit offers he has been offered for his vast beautiful property and all the neighbors benefit...
