100 Steps to the Gulf -Soaring Ceilings, Beams, Contemp, Free Lighthouse Passes

Located on a barrier island off the coast of Florida with great Gulf Views. Directly, fronting on the island's paved bike path, it has its own adjacent beach access easement as well. Just 100 steps from the Gulf. Take your pet walking on the beach and bicycle path.

The home is located on the south side of the road at 932 East Gulf Beach Drive.

This furnished home features include a washer and dryer; phone; 2 SMART TVs and large sundeck. Complete kitchen with an electric stove, electric oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Outside there is a shower, fish cleaning station and grill.

Our home has been completely repainted in August 2018. All new interior, 8 solid core doors, along with a new deck and new railings were installed in December 2017. New vinyl plank floor coverings were installed throughout the home in June 2017.

Free High Speed Cable WIFI ready - bring your laptop to surf the web, to stream your favorite movies- TV shows and to check your emails.

Free admission to the St George Light House is provided as a Welcome Gift for each guest.

The house was excellent! As advertised and the property owner was very responsive and made sure to let use know to reach out if we needed anything. We didn’t need a thing! The house was great, A/C was cold, and we made use of the handy beach cart to move our chairs and canopy the short walk to the beach. We would stay here again!

Lovely beach house with direct access to the bay-to-beach path, making the walk to the beach a short 2-3 minutes even with 2 little kids. Host was incredibly hospitable and the house was very clean and well-stocked. Our second trip to St. George, and we will be returning again-- feels like home away from home.

Perfect Beach Getaway!

The location truly is 100 steps to the water thanks to the little alleyway! St George will be a repeat for us- forgotten FL is wonderful, quiet, and quaint. The house is older, but equipped with everything we needed and was clean!

We enjoyed our stay. The house has a nice layout with plenty of room for our family. A lot of natural light with the view towards the beach. We took advantage of free light house passes offered by the host. Beach is a short distance away, very few people since its remote from public beach access. accesss.

Very clean!! A little dated. The location was wonderful!! Close to the beach and the piggly wiggly. A few minor inconveniences. There were only two rolls of toilet paper in the whole house and the tub does not drain well so you are standing in water while showering. I still give this place a 10/10 bc it was clean and very comfortable!!! Would stay here again.

Good trip and house was great. . Thank god for the beach cart and beach umbrella. This made it so much easier. The house had everything. But missing 2 minor things 1. Blender. 2 ice machine. Otherwise perfect. Will be coming back next year.

spring break.

Overall, it was a good stay for the 2nd time this year. Had a new set of cooking pans dropped off while there. The first stay there were no real issues. this time we had to take care of the dishes in the washer because we weren't sure if they had been run. Found some items in the one of the bedrooms and downstairs bath. Towels were still in dryer. Working with owners were great. Location for beach is wonderful and having the cart is a great help. Would rent again if possible.

A needed break

I have been coming to SGI since 2000. Have stayed at numerous homes all different sizes. My brother and myself and my sister-in-law went down to help a friend whose had just passed away with some loose ends.Totally enjoyed the property and the location is great. Also had a pretty good storm come through while we were there and I called the homeowner the next day to tell them about some damage. They answer the phone right off the bat and we're extremely helpful. In fact, my sister-in-law had such a good time that she booked it for the three of us again again next spring

Suitable

This property is very economical, has easy access to the beach, and is pet friendly. All of these things are important to us. Being an older home, we found there are quite a few repairs that should be attended to, with the addition of a fish cleaning station under the house. We enjoyed our 2 months anyway, St George Island has become our winter home now that we are retired. I would recommend this property , but hope that the owners get some repairs done.

The cottage at St George Island

Our family of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at this 3BR 2Bath beach cottage. Our daughter and 3 grand kids (ages 5, 13, and 15) went for walks on the beach, played basketball and played on the swings at the park which was on the Island about 2 miles away. We also ate at the beach restaurant which specialized in oysters, shrimp, and fresh fish. We also did sightseeing in Apalatchacola about 5 or 6 miles away. It was very relaxing at the cottage and we watched several movies on the available NetFlix as well as sat on the large deck watching the Gulf of Mexico. The cottage is beautifully decorated in a beach decor, lots of light through large windows and sliding glass doors and provides a beach view from all rooms.

you get what you pay for

The good - the house was clean and over-all ok for the money. The bad - the house is old, and the kitchen is poorly furnished. Barely enough plates and silver to feed a family of 5. Don't even think about cooking anything. In just two days we have had the plumber out twice. It is a significant walk to the beach. Paint is peeling off the walls in the master bedroom from water damage. You have to stand on the couch in the den to turn on and off the den light. There are all kinds of issues with light switches that control nothing. Finally, you only get one towel and wash cloth per person. That's ok if you like washing. The machine is old, noisy, and small. I would likely stay here again, but my expectations would be much lower. I would also pack pots and pans, silverware, and towels.
