BEWARE!! DO NOT STAY HERE! NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!!

Seriously you’re better off staying in your car. Where to even start. Drove 8 hours and before you walked in the place smelled of mold and was musty. Secondly.. IT WAS DIRTY!! Dead bugs, hair and crumbs on the couch, dirt all the way up the steps, toilets in both bathrooms were dirty, the ceiling in the kitchen you can see had water damage and was cheaply sealed and painted over and the best part? The heat doesn’t work! IT WAS 53 DEGREES IN THERE! As if this couldn’t get any worse, it most definitely does with the HOST! Such crappy people! Called them to tell them we weren’t staying there. Paid a lot plus a security deposit and this is what we walk into? After two hours sitting in our car because the smell was unbearable, they finally responded to us and told us they were sending a housekeeper to FIX THE HEAT AND CLEAN THE CONDO! Didn’t know housekeepers went to school for HVAC certifications, that’s news to me! And no I was not waiting for them to clean it when it should of been cleaned to begin with! On top of you cannot get rid of that smell! Everything pictured is what it looks like, it was newly remodeled, but that’s just the paint and the flooring, I’m afraid to see how much mold of behind it all. I would also love to point out while talking to these people they implied that I was stupid by saying I didn’t know how to work the thermostat, also accused us of lying and made us send them pictures. Everything was “let me talk to my team” “let me clean it for you” and when we told them no and three hours later had to book somewhere else, they don’t want to issue a refund because we didn’t allow them to fix the issue. The issues will be resolved once the building is condemned. We wanted to be by the mountains, we didn’t care where we stayed we would hardly be there, but this, this was horrid. I didn’t even want to bring my stuff inside. I have pictures for anyone who wants to see it! So now Instead of them issuing us our refund for a crap hole we didn’t stay in, I had to get in contact with an attorney and now Plushy Host can pay our court and lawyer fees in a addition to our refund. Hope their “team” can afford it. Also, VRBO didn’t want to help resolve the issue either. Seriously BEWARE!

Disliked: Communication
We arrived at our rental and used the keypad to enter. Shortly afterwards we attempted to leave but we were locked in. We made several attempts to unlock the door but were unsuccessful. The interior handle rotated but the deadbolt did not move. We contacted management via cellphone, and they made several attempts to remotely unlock the door but were unsuccessful as well. Management stated they would have the cleaning lady come out within 30 minutes to help. We could not open any windows or use the back entrance that led to a deck because it did not have a gate or stairs to use. The deck had a 12 foot plus drop. My friends also attempted to open the door via keypad but were unsuccessful as well. After waiting almost 2 hours for the cleaning lady, my friend threw a screwdriver so we could remove the lock. We chose not to stay at the location because it was unsafe being that the house had no emergency exit. The following week the owner had the audacity to file a claim and charge us 415.00 for a broken lock and a service call for his maintenance man who came out about 3 hours later. We have video of the lock not working and did everything on our end. We should have contacted the fire department.

Convenient to Knoxville and Pigeon Forge

The property was easy to book, communication was great. This property is a duplex and there was plenty of room for our family of 5. I enjoyed drinking my coffee on the back deck overlooking the woods and a neighboring pasture. The location was conveniently located between Knoxville and Pigeon Forge. We had no issues getting to Knoxville for dinner and touring University of Tennessee. We also easily got to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg to enjoy the mountains. If you are like us and don't like staying in the middle of a tourist strip, this is a great property for you!
