We had a great weekend at the property, it was clean spacious and authentic.
Only minor comment is that such a large property could really do with a second bathroom, getting ready for our concert was a squeeze!

Thanks for the review, we are so glad you enjoyed your weekend at Poppet Head Manor. We are happy to confirm that construction of a second bathroom is due to commence May/June 2023, and there is already a second toilet in the laundry.
We had a wonderful weekend away, the house was immaculate, extremely comfortable beds, lovely pool, well stocked pantry with added extras, close to Cessnock and the wineries, 5 stars
We had a lovely time exploring the Hunter for ten days while staying at Poppet Head Manor. The history and interest of the house added an extra element, as well as the generosity of the hosts - providing a selection of groceries upon arrival to satiate hungry and tired children after a journey! The location is close enough to the wineries, which is great, but it’s not among the rolling green hills of Pokolbin, which would have made it exceptional. It is also a short drive to Cessnock for groceries and a modest number of shops/ restaurants. The kids loved the pool and the amenities and privacy at the house were all good. We would stay here again 😁
A lovely house, beautiful grounds and pool. Large bedrooms and comfortable beds. Ducted air-conditioning and a fire to keep you warm. Everything you could need. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Would visit again.
What an amazing place!
We spent the Easter long weekend away at the Hunter and we couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.
All the included extras and special touches made the stay even more special. From the welcome note at the front door, the welcome hamper with wine, chocolates, eggs, bread, milk, fruit and many many more to list, to the night lights in the corridor and toilet.
The kids loved having a queen size bed each and had plenty of space to kick around their football outside when they were not in the pool. Who needs devices when you have a place like this to stay:)

Thank you so much for the lovely review Hrisanthi and Nav. I am so happy to see how guests like yourself enjoy my home as much as I do. It's all about country and living (even for just a few days) in a country manor home and the experience and memory that you create within your stay. As you say, who needs devices when you have all of this to enjoy. You are welcome back anytime!!
The pictures don’t do this property justice, it is just an incredible home. Well supplied, well maintained and all round fabulous. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

A lovely well restored house located 5 mins out of Cessnock. Large rooms, High Ceilings & Wide Verand give this property plenty of character. Large open plan living area is also bonus.
Beautiful house with generous attention to detail for guests.
Such a special property, with lovely details and so much care for guests. The pool was utilised several times each day, the BBQ and grounds perfect for family moments. We had a wonderful stay and hope to return soon.
