About this property
A Beautiful and Fully Renovated Heritage Cottage in the Dordogne with spa
This stunning property has been newly renovated to a high standard, the 'L'Ancien Presbytère’ - or 'old vicarage' sits in the centre of the small village next to the 13th Century church and opposite the 12th Century ruins of the castle in Baneuil. Entering through the archway into the courtyard, one is taken away by the prettiness and tranquility of this house with it’s sand-coloured front and wooden shutters.
The enclosed courtyard is the perfect place for outside dining and soaking up the sun. Lazy BBQ's and relaxing in the 6 seater jacuzzi are also wonderful ways to while away your day and enjoy your holiday.
The front door takes you into a large entree for placing coats and shoes, on the left is the downstairs bedroom with king-size bed leading through to a large bathroom with standalone bathtub and large walk-in shower. The property is wheelchair friendly and this bedroom is perfect for those who are wheelchair-bound or have mobility issues.
On the right of the entree is the stunning large kitchen with 3-metre oak table and large oversized pendant lights, wooden floorboards, a large fireplace and bespoke custom made countertops This kitchen is for anyone who loves to cook or for a family who enjoys the warmth and love a large kitchen can bring. At the end of the kitchen there is a small pantry with a double door fridge and microwave.
Further into the house takes you to the warm and inviting living room, the pretty chandelier and stunning stone fireplace is perfect to curl up with a good book or watch tv. The old wooden staircase with antique chandelier in the stairwell takes you unto the 2nd floor - the landing, which is a study area with a magnificent view of the church and castle ruins.
The two bedrooms upstairs are both ensuite with walk-in showers, the large master bedroom with super king-size bed and wooden flooring is comfortable and serene whilst the second bedroom with 2 single beds and walk-in cupboard has an impressive feature fireplace and again stunning views of the church and castle.
The old vicarage comfortably accommodates 6 people, with 2 people in each room. 2 more can be easily accommodated on additional beds if needed (at additional cost) with prior arrangement. high chair and cot are also available if needed.
