This rental was conveniently located between Palisade and Grand Junction for our adventures. We had some difficulty with check-in as the code they sent for the door was not correct and I could not reach the host until my third attempt calling her.
The house was nicely decorated. We had to go to the store and buy forks because there were only 3 salad forks. We also couldn’t find the community pool that was advertised.
We enjoyed are stay at Bees Knees very much. We we’re looking for a place we could come to as a family of four and a small dog that was laid back and fun. We had family come over to visit we play games ate dinner felt just like home. Would stay again.

Perfect for our Girls' Getaway
We absolutely adored this place and it was perfect for our girls' getaway. It was much bigger than we thought and still so cozy. It was cleaned and well maintained. Very quiet for the location being so close to so many amenities! If Grand Junction comes up as a destination for future getaways, we will be looking to stay here again!
We had a lovely time, relaxing at the cottage and touring wineries.

Great find, especially for the price and if you have pets. Very comfortable, fun eclectic decor. Tucked away covered parking, which is great because of the heat. Cute little fenced in yard for the dogs.
We like to come to Palisade for a few days in the late summer to visit the wineries and take advantage of the peaches. The Bee's Knee's Cottage was a perfect place for our stay. It looks just like the pictures and Karen kept in close contact with us before and during our stay to ensure anything we needed was addressed. The location was perfect since we didn't have plans to be in Grand Junction. We loved the cottage and would definitely stay again when we're in the area.
Overall we enjoyed our stay. However
Our check in was weird, I got both confirmation emails and text messages that told me how to unlock the door and it didn’t work at all. Had to call and talk with the owner and she informed me she didn’t know we were checking in that night and so the lock box wasn’t properly set.
There was also absolutely no dish sponge to be found which was bizarre considering all the dishes had to be washed prior to check out and there was no dishwasher.
Neighborhood was quiet and really good location. Would stay again for sure.

Cute but...
We enjoyed the vintage collectibles. Beds were great. AC worked very well. Kitchen was good. Code did not work and after calling host had to "try" 2 different codes before lock box worked. Ran out of toilet tissue and coffee filters. Carpet was horribly stained. Pets are allowed but gees. Bushes at door were overgrown and gave us 'pause' when we came after dark.
This place worked well for our group of three adults and a dog. Lots of space for us to hang out. We were there for a bike ride in Palisade and it was a short drive to downtown Palisade and the wineries. The neighborhood itself wasn't especially great - no restaurants within pleasant walking distance and the traffic noise was noticeable - but we felt safe there. We couldn't get the TVs in the bedrooms to work but we didn't contact anyone with property management for help so maybe we were doing something wrong. Overall if fit our purposes well.
The property was nice and clean but didn't have some of the benefits advertised. Bedroom TV's didn't work, washer was broken and the shower was useable but unsafe.
PRO: The inside of cottage was cute for the price. It was quite and we were able to visit without loud outside noises. The location was good.
CONS: We would like to have used the backyard and grill but it needed some clean up including cutting the grass.
A lot of the outlets do not work so there is extention cords used on the outlets that do work.
The TVs in the bedrooms do turn on but you get a no signal message. When the manger was called no anwser so I text them. The reply was, " they do work and did I try all the inputs."
The big con was there was only a 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper and no replacements.
The place is old and neglected. No working televisions in bedrooms.still (was reported on a previous review). No light at the front door. No USB charging outlets. The first bedroom had the a/c vent directly over the bed so if you turn down the air, the person in the next room is too hot. And the vents were dirty. Bedding & pillows old. Smelled old in the whole place. No GFIs in kitchen or bath. Bushes in front needed a trim..nearly poked out an eye trying to get in the door. The bedroom window latch was broken in the back bedroom so unable to lock that window. The bathroom was decent. Spacious enough and shower is larger than expected and easily accessible. I think they were going for "vintage" but it really just looked like a quick trip to the Goodwill store. I knew the price was low and you get what you pay for.

Quaint but Despicable!
I have been trying since June 7 to get correct, honest response about things not working in the cottage while I was there June 6-9. First noticed lots of outlets not working (plus no outlet to receive a USB cord) so we worked around it. Then realized no hand soap at the bathroom sink, no soap at all in the shower. The blinds behind one bed was so tangled it couldn’t be undone. When I reached out to Mallory she sent someone in the second day and said some of the circuit breakers were off and had then turned on. Also finally got shower soap and shampoo on late on the second day. 3 TV’s one remote but none of the TV’s worked and I told Mallory this but they still never worked for the entire 3 1/2 days. Turns out I left the pillow I brought with me and told phone and texted Mallory that day or next. She said the cleaner person would hopefully find it and it would be sent back to me within two weeks. (I have texts in this regard) Then a couple days later Mallory said the cleaning person was on vacation that week and wouldn’t know anything until she got back. What?! I kept trying to reach Ms. Mallory and also asked to be put in touch with the owners to no avail. So, here it is June 25 and I don’t know anything about my pillow or any refund that I’ve kindly suggested due to all the mishaps and lack of response. I happen to be 78 years old, owned 3 businesses, Navy Veteran, and happily retired and enjoy attending music festivals which is why I booked the stay on Evolve. Shame, shame, Shame!
The cottage was cozy, quiet and comfortable I was not sent the updated code to get in the house but my call to the property manager was answered right away and we had no issues the rest of the stayThe house could use some items in the kitchen, i.e. there were only 2 drinking glasses and 2 wine glasses in the cupboard. It wasn’t an issue for us as there were only 2 of us, but it could have been if we had had a guest overOverall, it was a great stay

Good Accommodations for our visit to Palisade
We enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was spacious for our group of 4 (two adults, two small children, and dog). The outdoor area was a great place to unwind after days filled with peach picking and vineyard-hopping. Coffee, soap, and towels were all provided which was appreciated. Beds were comfortable and A/C worked well.
The place is actually within the suburb of Clifton and is mostly mobile home communities with not a whole lot to do in the immediate vicinity. However, both Palisade and Grand Junction are both close by and within 15 minutes driving distance.
Would stay again.
Such a cute place, tucked behind a few other houses and a little hard to navigate which house was the right but let me tell you, hands down… cutest, most excellent location, fun town, and best overall quiet and peaceful. LOVED my time there at this house! Highly recommend
Great place to relax after mountain biking the "Palisade Plunge" ride!
We had a nice time here. Karen was friendly and helpful and communicated very well before the trip - she even greeted us when we arrived 4+ hours later than expected. Would recommend and would stay here again. Thank you!
