This stay was amazing for us. We really lucked out with the weather for mid April, and were able to enjoy the beautiful (and private/quiet) property more than we even expected. Alta was a great and responsive host, and left us a welcome package for when we arrived with some snacks, contact info, and a very nice handwritten note. Everything in the house was clean and as described. The hot tub was clean, the location was perfect for us and close to nearby hiking and activities we wanted to do. Highly recommend, and I hope we can get back to this house in the near future for another weekend getaway!

Thank you Reed for you kind comments. We are happy to host you anytime. So glad you enjoyed your stay.
We loved this cabin! It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable - and the creekside location was beautiful. Our host, Alta, was also excellent. She provided a lovely welcome basket and a giant binder of all of the area attractions and places to eat. This cabin is centrally located in the Laurel Highlands. We were able to drive to Fallingwater, Ohiopyle and Ligonier, PA easily. Each drive was less than 30 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.
The cottage had a very welcoming feel when you walked in. The place was so clean and was nestled in a beautiful landscaped yard. I hope to go back in the fall and watch the leaves turn.
We stayed here to go skiing at Seven Springs. The location was great, the beds were comfortable, and we had plenty of room to relax after long days skiing.
We spent our 1st year Anniversary at this lovely resort feel secluded quaint home for a weekend. It was a lovely, comfortable and charming place with a bubbling creek, hot tub, and so many cute spaces to hang out and have fun laughs and moments of peaceful relaxation. The thoughtful gift basket on arrival was a wonderful surprise. The hosts were friendly, kind and responsive. Thanks for a memorable stay!!

Thank you Chuck. So glad you enjoyed. We welcome you back anytime.
We enjoyed our stay so much. It was just what our family was looking for. In addition to the beautiful property and cottage, the owner was wonderful and took care of everything. We definitely would rent this cottage again!
Excellent space with everything you could possibly need! Everything is clearly labeled and exactly where you need it. The hot tub is dreamy in the evenings. The creek was shallow and nice to splash around in. Be sure to get some ice cream at See-Mor's All-Star Grill's window just down the street. Lots of great hiking and waterfalls in the area.
Property was very clean and inviting and although the weather wasn’t the greatest we had a good time

Hello Mike,
You have restored my faith in our guests. Our place was spotless after you left. We recently had a guest also with 2 dogs, allowed them to do damage, and refused to pay. Thank you for taking such good care of our property. We welcome you back anytime.
About the host
Hosted by Alta
Have lived in the area for 40+ years. We are retired and are managing this property for our son, Jason, who lives in Utah. We love to travel and stay in homeaway/vrbos often, so we know what people want and expect at a rental.
Why they chose this property
This cottage is very private, which we value. The view from the kitchen and dining area makes this cottage very special. The deck on the Creek House is available to all that rent the cottage, with or without the Creek House.
What makes this property unique
Poplar Run Retreat is 15 min from most of the attractions in the area. From skiing to hiking and biking, state parks, and Fallingwater.
