Me and my family loved this cabin! It’s like going back in time to the 1980s (minus the tv, newer kitchen appliances and washer and dryer). The decor is amazing to look at! The view is absolutely my favorite thing to see from the dinning room table or the porch in the rocking chairs! This cabin is not far from Chatuge Lake, and about an 40min drive to Helen Ga. Our stay was exactly what we were looking for!!
I had a business trip in Atlanta and wanted to stay in a rustic cabin with a view. This property is a great getaway, clean and comfortable. The owner was graciously accommodating and let us come early due to a winter storm.
Our family had a great stay at the mountain cabin. The hot tub was quite a hit, and the mountain view was exceptional. The only downside was the cabin needed a deep cleaning.
The cabinet was beautiful. They grounds needed to be cleaned up a little, the tree needed to be trimmed back for the view, but the worst and really only complaint that I have it the drive to the cabin. It's a one lane, very steep, curvy road to get the to cabin and you have to turn in at the top of the driveway to so you're headed back down the road. I would recommend 4 wheel or all wheel drive to get to the cabin. Other than the road and driveway/parking situation, the cabin is very well taken care of inside. Seth, the owner, is great to work with and very accommodating.
This was our first time renting a house for family vacation and the process was so easy. The cabin was beautiful and clean. We really enjoyed our time at the cabin and will be looking to rent again.
Very cozy and comfortable cabin. Felt like home. Centrally located to all our activities. Very well stocked with everything we needed. Loved the hot tub!! We had our 18’ boat and several vehicles and had no problems with parking. Hope to return soon!!
The cabin was a nice place to escape, yet surprisingly close to Hiawasee. The hot tub was wonderful. The host had plenty of towels and dishes. The decor was beautiful and rustic, and there was a nice view from the dining window and back deck. The driveway was a little precarious, and the road a little narrow, but once we got there, we didnt care to leave. Fair price for two families to share.
We found the unit as described and everything cute and comfy. I enjoyed the hot tub too. Being a flat lander I did have a little anxiety when traveling up and down the windy one lane road to the cabin and a pretty sharp turn into the upper driveway....but as I say...I'm a certified flat lander and that's what you must traverse to enjoy that view. Thank you to our hosts for providing their cabin for our family weekend getaway.

Bottom of the barrel
The house is extremely dusty. The windows are just filthy. If it rains the water is gonna cover the front porch with mud, which we had that problem. The couch in the living room and the chair is not suitable. It’s so old and so worn in that you just sink in it and it is highly uncomfortable, not really any frying pans in the house we had to use the electric frying pan for everything their pots and pans are literally terrible. Not much property at all. I’ve stayed in a lot of cabins for a lot of years and this is the worst one I’ve ever rented the linens on the bed upstairs were musty, and we had to wash all of them before we could use the beds Outside furniture to sit on in the back or down by the hot tub not good and what they had was dirty. The hot tub water looked terrible we didn’t use it. A lady at the bottom of the mountain hates visitors be wear. There’s a railing of wood going up the stairs, natural tree that nails are sticking out of our friend cut her finger on and the stairs are very difficult to do so unless you’re in good shape beware and be safe with children. And if anybody’s thinking of pulling a small trailer even a large trailer up there be careful because of the road going up is not suitable for trailers. I told him I had a trailer a large trailer that I was pulling two spiders in and it messed it up. It did have a beautiful view of mountains out the picture window in the back. OK
The view is awesome from the back deck. The cabin is cozy. The mounain road is very steep and do not know how one would get to the cabin if the road was icy or snow-covered.Overall,we enjoyed our stay and there was plenty of space for all of us.
If you are looking for a Rustic stay in the Tranquil mountains with a Great View, Look no Further! Its just a few short minutes from Hiawassee, Helen and Brasstown.
Two Large beds downstairs and 4 singles up in the loft so it can easily accommodate a large family or two medium fams. There are little things that you can be critical of, but these things actually add to the character of the "Cabin in the Woods" feel. The one thing worth noting is the stairs up to the loft are very steep and may be a challenge for younger or older walkers. The host was quick to communicate and was very accommodating leading up to and during our stay.
Overall we enjoyed our visit and would like to return here for a future stay!
We had a wonderful mini vacation at this cabin in the mountains! Beautiful view, hot tub and clear mountain air!
Fishing and Hiawassee close to explore. Waterfalls, trails and a beautiful Botanical Gaarden are also nearby.
Seth is so attentive with any questions you may have. If you are looking for a perfect mountain getaway, this is the spot! You may just want to sit on the porch and enjoy the quiet! Perfect!
Great place to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of life. The cabin is spacious, has necessary amenities, and is located in an area which is 30 minutes from many parks, trails, and towns.
