Negative- Exterior pool area was filthy, “tiki bar”downright gross tried to clean it up but the hose provided was full of holes. Lots of garbage on the grounds and the area around walkway to the beach. Basement ac was extremely poor, our daughter and son in law cooked. Recommend mattress pads and more outdoor deck seating on the upper decks. And a new hose! Refrigerators were not cleaned out and both dishwashers were filled. Stove top was greasy.Positive- extremely well equipped kitchen, that was a delightful discovery! Ivy covered beach walkway is very pretty. Comfy chairs provided for the beach (just needed more). Overall we (our family of 13) loved the house layout, location and more privacy than expected. I would definitely rent in the area again but just not that specific home.

End of Summer at the beach

The house is very nice, you do have ocean view and a nice view of the sound for sunset. But, 1. house was not as clean on arrival as you would expect. My sister-in-law spent a couple of hours vacuuming cobwebs and cleaning second floor kid's rooms. Third floor was clean. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Linens were clean, but bunkbeds linens were dusty and needed to be replaced. 2. Three tanks of propane at the house, 2 empty and the third one lasted for 1 batch of grilling, and then it took almost all day for the replacement to arrive the following day, with multiple calls to the office. 3. Having traveled to OBX for over 10 years, I've never seen towel supply so stingy. It was as if we each had 1 towel, and they were not even bath sheets. I would stay here again because the beach is very nice.
