3 Bedroom, 2 Bath with large balcony near beach and Park

Located on the second floor of a house in the quiet Santa Teresita neighborhood of Ocean Park in San Juan, a short walk to the Ocean Park beach, Barbosa Park, a supermarket and excellent restaurants. And now we have installed an excellent, quiet Electric Solar Power Back up system. If the power should go out, lights, fans and fridge will stay on! Also, to encourage a safe, longer stay, we are offering a very generous monthly discount. Extend your stay! The apartment has three bedrooms, all with a/c, ceiling fans and closets and two full bathrooms. The master bedroom has its own private bath. The common area is very spacious with a large, fully equipped kitchen and laundry. The living and dining room is an open space well suited for the entire group to gather and/or relax, and now, this area has a new mini-split A/C unit to cool things off after a hot day in the sun. The living room has a large tv with cable and wi-fi internet. Off the living room is a large deck with table, chairs and a bbq grill. This is an excellent place for relaxing in late afternoons and enjoying evening meals.

Great place to stay

We really enjoyed our stay. Walking distance of a nice beach and a variety of bars and stores. Not too far from old San Juan either which we really enjoyed as well. Made our experience very good overall and we plan to be back at some point.

Affordable and spacious stay for a family

Good location and spacious accommodations. Excellent for a family on a longer trip to Puerto Rico who wants to travel on a budget and have good access to beaches. Neighborhood chickens can be a bother at night but one might say it’s part of the charm.

A great stay

A quaint home in a gated community, we felt very safe. We walked almost everywhere, the beach was a 5 min walk from the property. Only downside was there was only one couch, the pictures showed two. The patio was awesome, definetly our favorite place to hang out when we weren’t exploring.

Our family had a great experience at John’s house in Puerto Rico! John was a great host and provided us many great recommendations for things to do and visit. Close to the beach

The gost was super nice and easy going. The house was really nice, very short walk to the beach. It had all we needed including beach chairs and extra towels for beach days. Only thing i would say is that nature can get a little loud very early in the morning, so i would suggest bringing earplugs.

Convenient location

We enjoyed our stay! A 10-20 minute drive to local sights and restaurants and a short walk to small grocery. The chickens, frogs, lizards and cats kept us entertained! John was quick to respond. We appreciate that he let us check out late so we didn't have to spend too much time at the airport. The apartment was nice but could use a thorough cleaning.

This apartment was conveniently located in a gated residential area near grocery shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Family Vacation in Puerto Rico

My family and I (group of 6) had a great time staying at this property. The entire house was roomy, the kitchen was very spacious and had plenty cooking ware for us to cook all desired meals during our stay. So close to the beach by just walking 5-7 minutes, supermarkets and key roads really nearby. Excellent Home in Ocean Park

My family and I just returned home from 7 days in San Juan. Already my kids said they missed “our home” in PR. John was a gracious and welcoming host. He made us feel like family. The home felt a lot bigger than the pics. It was very clean. Our favorite was the outside patio where we had breakfast every morning. The master suite with king bed was perfect. The location was close to everything and the gated community felt safe and secure. We couldn’t have asked for a better home or host ! Thanks again John !!

Neighborhood Stay

This is a great house all upstairs, with patio also up. It's nice and bright inside with the windows. We have younger kids, but there's space if teenagers. Two dining areas counting the patio, plus living and kitchen. Walk 5 min. to grocery store and beach. John is a great host. He can recommend restaurants and sight seeing. He also has a notebook at the house with local recommendations. We enjoyed eating in the neighborhood. It's a gated community with nice neighbors. In 15 minutes you can drive to Old San Juan or back to the airport.

A Nice Home Away from Home

The property had nice amenities, including two full baths, washer and dryer, and a nice rooftop deck with a gas grill. Access was hassle free with a four digit code punched in at the doorknob. The owner was very attentive to our needs throughout our stay, including supplying a generator during an island-wide power outage. We also enjoyed the roosters, chickens and cats that roam about in the gated community. The beach was only a ten minute walk from the property. The only drawback was the need to enter and exit the community every time through a monitored security station, rather than through the gate at the end of the street, which added about 5 minutes to each trip.

THE ROOSTERS

The description of the property was pretty on point with the exception of the trio of wild roosters that have made their nests across the street. What I am going to say is not to deter you from booking here, but to inform you of the experience…The roosters crow every minute like an orchestra from 1:30 am to roughly 9:30 pm. I am not being dramatic. I have video to prove it. You need to ensure you plan your day around the roosters. For example, if you plan to stay out until 10:30 pm plan on the whole family getting 3 hours of sleep. We were completely exhausted by day 3 of 8 and had to cancel plans to take day naps (We are very active people and never take naps). We got to the point where we reserved a night at a hotel to sleep because we needed time away from noise. For those who may be thinking that we are not use to animals or roosters; this is not new. We raised them and other farm animals growing up. We have come here every year since forever and grew up on the island. The crowing is an issue.

Annette, sorry for your experience with the noise. It seems the chickens and roosters are a nuisance in the neighborhood. We have been successful at getting them off our property by eliminating where they roost. Another neighbor has trapped some and shipped them off to a farm. But there still is a problem in the neighborhood. We will bring this up with the Owner's Assoc.

Why they chose this property

This house is located in a quiet, residential neighborhood which really makes you feel at home. There are no fancy, new condos or other touristy businesses, just lots of shady trees and some nice residential properties which you can appreciate as you walk on your way to the beach or park.

What makes this property unique

The house location is excellent, with attraction for the whole family nearby. You can walk to the beach for sunbathing or active water sports, there is also a park nearby that offers tennis courts with lights, a running track and a kids play area. A very well stocked supermarket is a ten minute walk away. A bus stop nearby takes you to Condado and Old San Juan.
