Great place, comfortable beds, loved the pillows. Everything as stated. However parking sucks as you had to park on the side of the road and it was a very busy street.
Perfect spot to launch our weekend in chicago from and crash back into to rest up. Great host communication and super easy all around. Will be back next time.
The space was beautiful and in a really quiet area. The host Angie was amazing and contacted me immediately to answer questions.
I would recommend staying at Angie’s place🙂
Loved this quiet place as part my first stay in Chicago! This has been a very positive experience!
The only negative was the street parking is very unpredictable and I’m not 100% convinced that this is a safe to park a nice new rental car! I was hoping to use the garage but could not!
Otherwise I highly recommend Mike & Angie’s Nest! It is truly a restful oasis in Chicago!
If you’re not familiar with Chicago and the different neighborhoods, you may feel a bit hesitant driving into this place. That’s the main thing to be aware of but we were safe during our entire stay. That said, Angie was a great host who communicated well and did her best to ensure my family felt safe and comfortable during our stay. I greatly appreciated her help as I wasn’t there during check-in.
This property was in a quiet neighborhood. There was a market on the corner and also easy access to metro. Because of the size of our group we usually ordered an uber which was reasonable.
The house itself was clean and had a nice layout. We each had our own bedroom and there was a comfortable living room where we gathered to watch some shows.
There was laundry available, which we didn't use, but was a nice feature.
We would stay here again.

Property was nice, Wi-Fi would have made it perfect. Lockbox for the keys didn’t work for us to leave the keys upon check out.
We enjoyed staying at this property. It was about 15 minute drive from the Chicago City Center and about a 15-20 minute drive from Wrigley Field.
Overall the unit was clean but we found a few things (previously used towels, items left behind in the fridge) that we wish would have been removed before we arrived.
This unit did have a lot of space — we appreciated that! Humboldt Park is right across the street and that was a great place to run or walk.
Owners did a nice job updating the spacious property. For the most part, clean and comfortable. I will say, deep cleaning would be a good idea. Water/ice dispenser on fridge is filthy. Some vents were caked in old dust. But price is right and were overall very happy. Thanks!

Did the job
This property appeared to be spot cleaned. Lockbox with the key was broken. Almost couldn’t get in. Only one set of keys was provided for 6 people which was inconvenient. Host did not respond timely to messages. If you stay just be knowledgeable that you may have to work out some kinks on your own.
The house was dirty we cleaned for two day upon arriving there was open food in the refrigerator and open alcohol due to covid there shouldn't have been nothing in there on top th refrigerator was dirty it self
The room a dirty sheets in the closet n dirty ones on the beds
The bath room had hella hair in the shower the toilet seat was broke n belonging from other guest laying around the apartment
Tried to contact owner by email text and even call but still no reply or call back. N never a place to park

Poor communication
I did not recieve timely instructions for check in. Property was not available at the promised check in time. No check out instructions were provided. There were no hand towels or hand soap in the kitchen or bathroom. Some of the furniture is stained and needs deep cleaning or replacement. Sofa was very uncomfortable. However, for the price, it was in acceptable condition and the photos online were representative of the apartment itself. Surronding neighborhood is somewhat seedy and there were a few suspicious characters on the street at night. Thankfully the property is priced inexpensive.
This 2nd story flat was very spacious for 3 adults. Parking was free and easy to find in front of the house on the street. Convenient location in a nice, quiet neighborhood.
There was pee splatters installer the toilet seat, ceiling fans were covered in dust, the return air vent had an inch of dust on it, vent in bathroom had dark gray dust going up the wall, easily removed with a vacuum or broom but there was no attention to detail when cleaned the refrigerator wasn’t wiped out after last guests. The linens were clean, beds were comfy.
Angie was a wonderful host. The place is in a fantastic neighborhood with a corner grocery store a block away which was convenient. It was clean and very nice. We would stay again.
We were so happy at the end of our long days of walking downtown to have a comfortable home to stay in with three bedrooms. We have decided that’s how families with adult children can all travel together. No more notes for us. The only down side was that although the house was only 4-5 miles from downtown that was actually at least a half hour! Big towns=big traffic and parking hassles. Still we saved money and had the extra space so we were happy. Angie was a great host.
Lovely, quiet house and neighborhood. Helpful with any questions that arose. PM parking was an issue, so used buses which is close, and urber to return.
Angie was very helpful when I had questions about Chicago and the area before we got there, and after as well! There were a few problems and she helped correct them quickly, other than a missing battery in a smoke alarm. There were just a few minor repairs that would have made our stay more comfortable but I would definitely stay there again!
