Two story home built in 2016. Five minute walk (~~350 steps) to the beach. You will feel welcomed in this inviting home. Open concept living, dining, kitchen. Three bedrooms, 2 baths, 3 decks. Master bedroom is on bottom floor, two other bedrooms and bath upstairs. Calming, but cheery decor is perfect for relaxing, or enjoying friends and family. Upper deck off 3rd bedroom is great for sunning or evening drinks.
Ground floor is open space with two picnic tables, outdoor shower and a small grill. Grassy area with parking for several cars.
Practically next door to the state park. Located just 8 miles west of 61st intersection with seawall.
This beach area is perfect for families because you can walk to beach and it is a no-cars beach. You don't have to be on lookout for cars driving up and down beach.

Excellent Stay
Excellent all the way around. Rich's communication was first rate and extremely accomodating. The house itself was in great condition and we really enjoyed it. Walk to the beach is very short and the beach itself was sparsely populated so we really had it to ourselves. I know there have been some comments on locking the front/back doors, but if you follow the instructions, it's quite easy to lock. One of the better VRBO's we've stayed at. Loved it!

I am a semi-retired Realtor in Houston Heights. I previously owned an old beach house in nearby Jamaica beach years ago. It was on a canal, and I loved the solitude of the area. It was the only place I could truly relax. I say "relax" but being old, it was all I could do to keep up with repairs.
Still, I kicked myself ever since selling it.

Why they chose this property

I finally bought another house; a newer house, a bigger house. Blue Pearl is newer (2016 vs 1970), Hardiplank instead of wood, 2 baths instead of one, central heat and air. It is bright, open, lots of outdoor spaces with both sun and shade.
I picked this location because I don't have to get in car to go to beach. I don't have to cross the highway to get to it. And best of all, it is a no-cars beach, so my grandson can run around and I don't have to keep looking for cars.
The beach is nice too. It doesn't get packed in the summer like nearby Jamaica Beach, or the beaches along the seawall.

What makes this property unique

5 minute walk to beach (about 400 steps) , pulling all your stuff in a wagon.
Three decks, so you can pick sun or shade. Shaded, breezy area under house with two picnic tables. This has also served as a remote "office" or classroom for people who "work at home" away from home.
A quiet neighborhood with friendly welcoming neighbors.
About 6 miles or so to Moody Gardens, about the same distance to the seawall, where all the tourist stuff starts.
Very close to Nate's Restaurant, Waterman's, Way West Grill or Mario's Pizza if you don't want to drive toward town. Great food at all 4.
