Paw Paw's Cabin #2 is just 2 blocks, walking distance from the Monterrey Pk an Boat launch on Lake Sam Rayburn. 3 Bed rooms, 1 bath, full kitchen, sleeps 7 to 8, 4 beds, 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 twins. Country quite an safe at the dead end of the single entrance Rd of Monterrey Pk Rd, all family owned properties here, set on three acres of private land with the National Forest an Core property just behind us. Perfect for the Fishermen an woman wanting to be right at the lake, or the family get away to the lake with a nice country stay.

Plenty of Boat Parking, plugs for charging, come an enjoy the Lake and country quite. Quaint cabin, not the fancy lake home, Just two years old makes for a very clean nice kitchen and bathroom. Full amenities provided, sheets, towels wash clothes an all cooking utensils full kitchen with the grill and BBQ pit out front/back.
We promise a complete warm, cozy an very clean cabin !!!

Paw Paw’s Cabin

We rented Paw Paw’s cabin expecting a nice, quaint fishing cabin and that is exactly what we got. It was at the end of a bumpy gravel road but less than 2 minutes from the lake. It took some time figuring out which cabin was ours but some friendly neighbors pointed us in the right direction. The cabin is a classic Rayburn fish camp. It sits on a nice shade covered piece of property bordering a forest. There is a propane grill outside and plenty of parking space. The cabin has large windows in the main room that allow you to look outside. Inside the cabin was adequate for our needs. There are 2 full sized beds and 2 single beds, there is 1 bathroom with a shower. The main room has a full kitchen including a fridge/freezer, table to eat on, and a few chairs/couch facing a TV. We were able to watch some basketball games as well as the news on the TV. The cabin was expertly decorated with camouflage accents throughout the rooms as well as fishing signs and mounts. My personal favorite decoration was the “Show off your bobbers, fish naked” sign as well as Paw Paw’s Big Bass plaque from the 2018 Bass Champs tourney on Rayburn. The only downsides of the cabin is the outside door doesn’t shut perfectly and has cracks that allow some bugs to get in as well as air get out but this is compensated by 2 AC units that keep the cabin plenty cool. The other downside is there is a dog named Sambo that roams around the property and possibly has Ringworm. Other than that the dog was extremely nice and welcoming. Overall the cabin is excellent for 7 or less fisherman wanting a nice weekend filled with fish catches or some friends wanting close access to the lake. Paw Paw was extremely welcoming and even gave us some very helpful fishing advice.

This place is great, very comfortable and clean. Sam is the highlight of the stay.
