There are 3 subway train stations that you can choose(all of them are only 6 minutes walk) which is JR Yamamoto Line Shin-Okubo Station, Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line Higashi-Shinjuku Stationer and Toei Oedo Line Higashi-Shinjuku Stationer.
The biggest supermarket Donkihote is very close to our apartment.

Close to Shin Okubo station 8 min walk. Shinjuku station is a 15 minute walk. 24 hour convenience stores and groceries close by. Apartment is on the 4th floor with no elevator. This was okay for us. Place was clean and the bathroom had enough water pressure. Beds were comfortable and was enough room for 3 people. Air conditioner worked good. Having a washing machine was a plus. My only complaint was not enough kitchen supplies to prepare a meal. Place was

Great Stay in nice neighborhood

The apartment was exactly as described in the pictures and texts, as well as clean and thoughtfully equipped. Decoration with IKEA furniture and gadgets as well as Japanese bathroom facilities made a nice mixture for European guests. Everywhere information in English, how to use the appliances, which was very helpful. The host was very supportive and forthcoming for extra needs. Practical tips: the flat is in the fourth floor without an elevator. If this is a problem for you, you might contact the host for another apartment in the same building. I had a problem to find the apartment/building, even with the description delivered by the host (Google maps, the Japanese). Maps in my iPhone did deliver a completely wrong address. My advice would be to search for Bambi coffee, which is a Café on the other side of the street. Next advice: check out time is at 10 o’clock, if you need to store your luggage for some time, there are possibilities at Higashi-Shinjuku station which is rather close. There is a whole website describing how to find lockers at rail stations in Japan, which are used in the end.
