Perched on the hills of Akaroa and gently peaking out of the surrounding bush overlooking the Bay - Welcome to The Tree House! The Treehouse was designed by the renowned Christchurch architect Bill Skews and has been furnished to complement his design.

Quiet and peaceful, this 3-bedroom holiday home is ideal for a family getaway! Stretching across 2-floors, this home features a wrap-around balcony with stunning panoramic views, ceiling-high windows that provide a seamless indoor/outdoor flow, and a gorgeous wooden style design that perfectly compliments the surrounding nature living up to its name.

Wake up every morning and enjoy your morning coffee as you step out onto the balcony and admire the breathtaking views. With enough space for everyone to enjoy, relax and cosy up to a book on of the deck chairs, sip on a glass of wine as you enjoy some entertainment in the lounge or finish off your evening with a nice home-cooked meal out at the outdoor dining area. Everything you need to relax and unwind.

Just a short stroll down the hill to Akaroa center, head on down, and explore your heart out at the local cafes and restaurants. Inspired by the French Settlers, there are many places to check out. From the terraced gardens with gorgeous sculptures and mosaics to the Akaroa Museum to the Akaroa harbor where you can watch the rare hector dolphins swim.

Fantastic rustic Banks Peninsula batch located up the hill, and tucked in amongst the bush.

overall a great place. superb views and comfortable sleeping for all the family. quiet and private setting. some minor things could be improved, (soap dish bathroom) (tongs for cooking) (general instruction book about the house) (some doors broken etc) but to be honest these were minor to the fantastic time we enjoyed here. would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. many thanks- we had a great time.

Winter loveliness in Akaroa

Wonderful views, nice ambiance, warm & quiet with good birdsong by day. 2 issues: insufficient light for reading in either lounge or bedrooms; no wifi which we’d have liked.
