Close to many attractions, Portland, Kennebunkport, Old Orchard, trails, UNE, Hills Beach, Camp Ellis, fishing, hiking, canoe, biking and more. Includes all linens, towels and small cooler. lovely place to stay

The loft is a lovely place to stay. It's very quiet and peaceful. And it's an easy drive to beaches and to Portland ME. It had everything we needed for a 5 day stay.

Contained everything you needed, excellent location to Biddeford pool. Loved sitting on deck off second floor with coffee each morning. Owners were so accommodating.

Quick getaway

The property is very close to anything you could want to do in southern maine. I stayed here with my 3 children and they loved the loft. It had everything we needed and was very clean. I would stay here again and recommend this property!

We loved our stay at the loft! It was as cute as the pictures showed but was roomier and even cuter in person! We were able to spend time together, unwind, have time at the beach, visit some cute little local shops, have some delicious meals out and even had one night where we went to Wolff Lobster and picked up seafood to cook at the loft! We look forward to returning!

The loft was perfect!

With additional family staying at Fortunes Rocks the Loft was perfect for my husband, son and I to unwind after a full day at the beach. My husband and son watched movies downstairs while I curled up with a book upstairs. The Loft was amazingly clean and well kept! We loved the location and hope to stay again next year!

Cozy Coastal Loft

The loft was cute, clean and quiet. The only noise came from the traffic (it's close to the road). The owners responded almost immediately to my questions, etc. and were very pleasant.

UNE Parents Weekend

Overall, a very nice place to stay, and the owners are outstanding with great communication. The sulfur smelling water was overpowering though, especially when showering. We didn’t use the main floor TV/family room, but loved the second floor deck.

Wonderful stay by the beach.

The property was wonderful and clean with everyrhing supplied to make your stay very easy. Close to everything, close to Kennebunkport and a 10 min drive to highways to get to anywhere in Maine. Fire pit and free wood was absolutely amazing. Communication with Karen and her willingness to cater to all our needs will definitely make us want to come back. Thank you Karen.

Under the Trees

Great stay at location close to beach and Portland. Quick drive to restaurants and located in the woods. Property manager quickly brought sheets as when we arrived the bedding had not been changed. Good recovery and communication was excellent.

Perfect woodland escape

This was the perfect place for our family of 4. My kids (ages 10 and 7) loved it and didn't want to leave at the end. My daughter especially loved the outdoor shower and my son loved the corn hole set. My husband and I liked the central location to all the places we wanted to visit in the area. I especially loved that there was a pack-n-play and a high chair available, even though ours are old enough not to need them. It is a great place for a little family.

Perfect!

2nd time staying at this loft. We were visiting our daughter at UNE, but we drove up north and also south to check out sights. The loft is a perfect place for 1-4 people, off a beautiful stretch of highway with so much beautiful scenery and great places to check out. Karen, the host, will help you if you need anything-from the loft info to area info. We will hopefully be staying here again.

Lovely ending to July 2023

The loft was lovely. We stayed with our friends. The location had a wonderful wood’s feel. Felt like being home in the ADK’s but close to the ocean.We went to the nearby beach daily. Sampled local cuisine in neighboring small towns and even enjoyed an evening camp fire and corn hole. One of the best parts was the outdoor shower 🚿. Hope to return again. Great location!

My daughter and I were visiting the UNE campus and this location could not have been more perfect! It was exactly what we needed. A previous reviewer mentioned the smell of the water and they were not kidding. The smell is really horrible and caused me to completely avoid running the tap or shower. The rental itself is very cute and recently remodeled. The surrounding area is beautiful. If you’re not as sensitive to smell as we are it’s perfect.

Could’ve been much cleaner….

Sheets were sandy, bedding was torn, floors dirty, coffee maker still had old Coffee in it. Kitchen lacking items like Measuring cups. Location was great - close to beach but parking at the beach could be tricky. Listing says brand new or newer something like that, this place isn’t new. The grounds of the Property were very nice my boys loved being “in the woods”. We wouldn’t stay here again.

I would have happily swapped for new sheets if I was made aware during your stay. As for sand, our cleaners vacuum twice and mop and sometimes sweep again typically. I will address it with them. Cute apartment!

This is a well kept apartment—but not close to beach. Parking for the beaches is tough, so plan accordingly. You have to drive and pay if you find a spot. It sits on a busy road and the one bedroom does have noise from the traffic. And the sulfur smell is absolutely still there—mostly when you shower. I was ok with it-but my teen daughter had a rough time with the smell. The filtered water in the kitchen is appreciated and needed. If you are aware of all this—it is a great little spot. Beds are comfortable, towels are clean ( byob beach towels) and there’s a good supermarket in Biddeford and Saco. And the owners are great at getting back to you!!!

Short Maine getaway

We stayed in the loft for two nights. When we arrived We had never received the code for the door ~ I don’t really know what happened ~ but we ended up getting the code within an hour or so. It was very frustrating because I had messaged about the key code earlier, and instantly got a nice message back saying it would be sent later in the afternoon. When we got there we messaged and called 2 phone numbers ~ no instant reply!! We waited at least 45 mins ~ so I called VRBO customer service ~ I was honestly thinking We got scammed!! They resolved the problem. The space is really nice and updated. The beds were comfortable and the location was great for us! There are a few points I feel are worth mentioning: 1. The water smells like sulfur ~ and is a turn off. It makes the entire place smell foul ~ I’m pretty sure there are filters that are not crazy expensive to resolve the issue! If this had been mentioned in the listing or another review ~ I may not have chosen this place ~ It’s not cool to find out after it’s too late. So fixing it would resolve the problem. 2. I’m not sure if it’s just me ~ but I feel that it’s unfair to have the guests strip the beds ~ that is what we pay the cleaning fee is for! We did do it ~ and we took out the trash ~ we’re generally clean and neat people anyway. All in all ~ it’s a gorgeous property and we had a great adventure! Thanks so much!!

Perfection

I was beyond happy with our get-a-way location, really appreciated the little things left to make the trip perfect. Toothbrushes as my partner realized he forgot his. My kids enjoyed the outside time and even had smores💗 The location was perfect for us only 19 minutes from the beach 25 minutes from family. Great stay would recommend it to all!!!

Comfortable loft

We loved everything about this location and property except for the fact that it is on a main route and not super conducive to walking to the ocean. We were fine driving, though, and some nice coastal walks nearby.

Why they chose this property

My husband and I looked for a long time for a unique property that we hoped people would be able to enjoy here in Maine and love Maine as much as we do. This particular property checked all of our boxes. It's private, yet close to everything. It's setting is so natural that you'll see beautiful birds, animals, even the moths are pretty, lol. The beaches in our area are just pristine- not crowded and very family friendly. Biddeford has been up and coming for some time now and we now have some really good dining establishments, shops, brewery's, etc.. There are beautiful trails to walk, bike, parks, etc.

What's unique about this place is the setting in the woods but on the main street for quick access to everything.
