Disappointing Stay: Stains and Arcade Woes Overshadowed a Promising Location
The location of the home was indeed convenient, with its proximity to the beach providing easy access to the shoreline. However, our overall experience during our stay at this VRBO rental only merits a 2-star review. Unfortunately, our vacation was marred by several disappointing aspects, particularly concerning the arcade and stain issues.
Upon arrival, we were unsettled to find grotesque carpet stains in two rooms, which were not addressed or compensated for by the owner despite reporting them immediately and with pictures. This led to us and our children having to endure unsightly and unhygienic conditions during our stay, which impacted our vacation experience but we simply moved on in hopes not to ruin a wonderful time.
Moreover, the arcade devices, which were a critical deciding factor in choosing this home, turned out to be completely inoperable. The excitement and anticipation our children had for the arcade were shattered, and the delayed response from the owner added to our initial disappointment and frustration.
While the location was appealing, it's essential for the owner to address and rectify these critical issues with the arcade and carpet stains to improve the rental experience for future guests. We hope that by sharing our concerns, other renters can be more informed about the potential drawbacks and make an informed decision before booking this property.
