Yes, it was a nice place, getting there, wasn't easy but once there the cabin was nice. Although the molding at the door of the bathroom was not attached and kept coming off, it didn't have nails to hold it in place.
We are semi local to the area, and assumed the recommendation of 4wd would just be for inclement weather. However, 4wd is absolutely recommended ANYTIME!! Great little spot!! Would stay again
Clean comfortable peaceful property. High up on the mountain. Owner was easy to work with. Close to Smokie Mountains and Cherokee. Check in and out simple. Definitely would rent again here.

Falling on mountain
It was easy getting this place at the last minute ...but I called Vrbo several times trying to get directions and a key to get inside ...several calls by Vrbo finally I got a text with information...we thought it was a cabin when it looks like a small mobile home , it was really clean and it was nicely decorated with bears...we got there the 19th and on the 20th walking to our car I tripped and fell ... the pain was the worst pain I've ever felt and late Monday night I couldn't handle the pain and went to the ER ...my left foot was so swollen , it was turning yellowish, a bit greenish, and purple ...the Dr said it wasn't broke that I had torn ligaments and I needed to see my Dr after we went home ...as of today I haven't gone to my Dr but I am getting a appointment to see a orthopedic Dr .. I've kept it elevated, and used heat and ice ...The swelling is going down but the pain is really bad , I've not gone anywhere, I'm trying to give it time to get better ...we aren't putting a Christmas tree up or decorating, we aren't having family or friends over for Christmas and we aren't cooking ...back to our stay ...I looked to see what tripped me and I took pictures, there is a rock and it looks like a root , they were just poking out of the ground... I have spoke to Vebo about trying to get the owner to text or call me ... they just don't respond ...I sent a text asking if I could get part of my money for the cabin back and the medical bill ...The owner will not respond to my attempts to speak to them ...we have a nephew that's a attorney , if I haven't heard from them by Christmas I will get a attorney ...the road to the cabin was awful , it was a dirt road with potholes , it was hard to get over the holes so we had to back up and get
My husband and I enjoyed the small cabin. It was very clean & comfortable. The surrounding were beautiful with the fall leave colors & view. The cabin was easy to access along with a short drive to obtain food & entertainment. My husband doesn't like crowds so this was perfect for us.
Everything was great during our stay and the property manager was quick to respond to any questions. It was clean, though a few appliances looked a bit unsecure (living room TV) so we were afraid to touch, least it break or fall from the wall. There were a few "imperfections" throughout the cabin, but nothing that would prevent us from staying (a blind missing a few side slats, a dresser drawer that needed a little repair) but still, the kitchen and bed were quaint and the bathroom clean. The were back up items and everything worked in the kitchen. I LOVED the gas stove. There were signs everywhere to make sure you didn't do anything to damage the property, but I appreciate that forthright approach to visitors. The packet that is emailed is full of all the info you need. The packet also gives as detailed instructions for the way up (and highly recommends a vehicle with 4wd,) but even this is very difficult to follow, as one of the roads is marked "private drive do not enter" and another area is the road is completely overgrown with natural grass and the gravel is no longer visible. We have stayed in other cabins and have never been on such a risky road to get to the cabin. The packet that recommends 4-wheel drive should not be taken as a rec but an absolutely necessity to get to the cabin, so DO NOT ATTEMPT getting there unless you are REALLY good at driving a vehicle over treacherous "roads." We had a rear wheel drive pickup, and only bc my husband has a lot of experience driving roads such as this for work, did we make it up and down. We loved the privacy of the cabin, but would not even consider attempting to come down the mountain if it meant we would have to find our way up in the dark. I would say that was the only setback to this lovely little cabin, though it has deterred us enough from returning to that property in the future. I cannot even imagine driving it in less than perfect conditions from any form of precipitation.

Spider problem, Poor location
This rental is a nice smaller rental in the woods.
I did have problems with this rental property and would not recommend it to anyone. There is a spider problem ~ I understand you are in the woods so the spiders outside are no problem but there are alot of spiders inside.
They do accept dogs which is nice, my dog did leave me with a lot of charges in the end (after I already paid to have the dog) so be prepared to pay up your deposits.
The location~ The drive to get up to the property is AWFUL and not worth it. the bottom of the mountain where you turn in just looks like trash. first thing is a scrap yard (how inviting).
The view is okay - not great.
All in all I really wish I would have stayed somewhere else.

Dear Sydney,
Thank you for staying with us. and having the time to leave this review.
1. First and foremost, we have never received a complaint regarding spiders in this cabin, of course this cabin is located in the forest, therefore if you leave the door and/ or windows open, all kind of bugs can entry due to the cabin being in the woods.
We always recommend keeping doors and windows shut, and that is mentioned on the check-in instructions,
2. We accept dogs additional pet fee as mentioned on the listing description, however, we found multiple dog faeces left on the cabin deck, and that is not acceptable at all, As the poop can integrate into the wood, and the odour may not be removable from the wood. Your dog also peed on the door rug, which we threw it away.
Additional, you left the trash bin full and you have never informed regarding that, even though we have strict rules about trash being taken after each check-out.
That is also mentioned on the self-check-in instructions.
3. This is a new and modern equipped cabin, and we expect our guests to leave the cabin as they found it, it is a simple rule from many hosts. Respect this home as you respect yours.
4. The road to the cabins has been significantly improved and it has been regraded with special gravel, so our guests can have the stress-free drive to it.
Also, you do not need an SUV to get to the cabins.
Thank you once more for staying with us, however, no need to leave a 1-star review if you left damages at the cabin and you were charged for it.

Depends what you’re looking for
The cabin was clean and cozy, with cute rustic cabin-y decor. Also grateful I could bring my dog. However it is located up a very narrow steep gravel road that was washed out in a couple places...glad I had an SUV and arrived while still light out! Was a bit nervous every time I went up or down the road that a car would be coming the other direction and not sure how that would go since most of the way there is no room to pull over. For this reason, I left cabin in mornings and only came back in evenings, before dark. Also there is another cabin right next to this one, so your stay may be impacted by the behavior of the other people in that cabin. Despite being up in the mountains “away from it all” it’s not exactly peaceful solitude.

Dear Molly,
Thank you for staying with us at this beautiful cabin.
Respectfully, We want to address your review:
1/ This is a mountain cabin, and obviously its located on the mountain, a 4 wheel drive SUV is not a must to have, but recommended.
We never had complained about the road being a reason why our guests have not enjoyed their stay here,
2/ We have as of now 4 cabins, located close to each other. Also, a no-noise rule is mentioned on the check-in instructions and in our rules, therefore, if you have notified us during your stay we would have contacted the other guests to be quieter, in order for everyone to enjoy their vacation here.
We never have received a message from you.
3/ These wonderful and new cabins are secluded and their purpose is to give our guests the peace they are lacking in their cities and busy lives.
We hope to accommodate you some other time again, at discounted rates
