Summary:
Constructed around 1835, this beautifully restored cottage is a landmark property and is located in the heritage precinct of Battery Point, just minutes to Salamanca. The whalers cottage as it was originally known, has been renovated to offer luxury accommodation. It has a private garden courtyard and the cottage offers a cosy and warm feel. Beautifully decorated to reflect the unique nature of the property, come and enjoy a piece of history in comfort with all modern conveniences.

The Space:
The house is a great space both indoors and out, with a well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge where you can relax and enjoy a night in or a good book, or the outdoors in your own private courtyard. A wonderful space for a single person or a couple in a great neighbourhood.

Guest Access:
Guests have full use of the house for the duration of their visit.

The Neighborhood:
You have Hobart's best attractions right on your doorstep in an historic, safe and wonderful neighbourhood. Some great coffee shops and restaurants within 200 metres including D'Angelo Italian Restaurant and Jackman and McRoss Bakery. Across the road is Arthurs Circus Village Green.
Within an easy five minute stroll you'll find Salamanca with its art and craft, restaurants, bars and the waterfront pier for the MONA ferry.

Getting Around:
Who needs a car when you can walk to many of Hobart's main attractions. If however you do have a vehicle, there is street parking, which offers a 2 hour (unpaid) limit between 8am-6pm Monday to Saturday. Free overnight. Alternate parking in a parking station is available at 1 Montpelier Retreat Salamanca or street parking about a 5-7 minute walk

Other Things to Note:
We also offer the adjoining 1 bedroom cottage if you're travelling with someone else and want your own space. A perfect arrangement for 2 couples travelling together

The location is ideal easy walk to the markets, so many dining options. Battery Point is a story book just strolling around doesn't matter how many times you've been there, Something new to find every time. Tori's Cottage is perfect nothing negative to say only good. Would recommend it to anyone travelling to Battery Point.

Cozy Cottage-great location

We loved our stay. The location is the best in that Battery point is close to Salamanca and Hobart. We walked a lot and enjoyed that immensely. Parking was a challenge but not prohibitive. It would’ve been nice to have a microwave. Otherwise, great.
