About the host

Hosted by Pete Bromley

Host profile image
We have 4 young children who love getting away and exploring new places either by the beach or in the Central West or regional Australia. Living in Central NSW is the best change we made having moved from Sydney 5 years ago - we have a passion for old period houses and want to be able to show visitors to the region how beautiful these bog houses can be.

Why they chose this property

'Barton' is circa 1890 and has been renovated at the rear of the property to allow modern living and convenience, meanwhile the front half of the property has the original pressed metal ceilings, high ceilings throughout create the sense of grandeur and luxury. The house is impressive from the front with great street appeal and pretty garden enhances the streetscape with its Spring blooms. We love 'Barton' and want visitors to enjoy the sense of history the house brings.

What makes this property unique

The property is located 2 blocks from Summer Street, a short stroll to Robertson Park - centre of town, with many Hotels, restaurants and bars surrounding the park. There are too many cafes within walking distance but Groundstone do a great breakfast, Crema on Lords Place does a sensational coffee!
