This cozy studio, 1-bathroom condo is pet-friendly and features a ground-level entrance, covered balcony, and electric heating throughout. Located in the Mammoth Estates community, this unit is the perfect year-round getaway. Whether you're visiting in winter or summer, this is one of the best locations in town! You’ll be just one block from The Village and the Village Gondola, offering effortless access to shopping, dining, nightlife, and the slopes, all without the hustle and bustle. The kitchenette includes a full-size refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, and oven (please note: there is no dishwasher). After a day on the mountain, unwind and cozy up in the living area around the gas fireplace and enjoy a movie on the 60 inch flatscreen TV, or gather around the dining table with seating for four. Sleeping arrangements include a Queen bed in the main living area, as well as a pull-out sofa bed. The full bathroom has been updated with a jet tub and features a shower/tub. Conveniently located across the street from a shuttle stop to take you around town. Guests enjoy access to one unassigned outdoor parking space. The amenities at this complex come with a year round hot tub and sauna, recreation room, laundry facilities and during the summer months only an outdoor pool. All guests receive complimentary full access to Snowcreek Athletic Club & Spa, Mammoth’s premier fitness and recreation facility. Enjoy a wide range of amenities including an indoor heated pool, steam room, sauna, full fitness center, yoga, Pilates, cycle studio, racquetball courts, basketball court, and a variety of wellness and fitness classes. During the summer months, guests can also take advantage of the outdoor swimming pool, as well as tennis and pickleball courts. This unit includes one parking pass. The jacuzzi is right out the door and the village gondola is less than 10 minutes walk. The old style stove heater kept us toasty and we were able to cook all our meals for the entire 5 nights there.

Frying pan needs replaced. I’m surprised the HOA doesn’t keep up the pool area clean, pool gets maintained. No washer or dryer. Unit is clean, linens clean. Location is good. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, but all walkways and steps to the condo were covered in snow. Had a very difficult time getting to the front door. Studio was clean but mattress on the bed was old and uncomfortable. Next time I will bring my own blankets and sheets as a precaution as well. All windows were blocked with snow, so it made it very dark with no natural light.

However the unit has no safe way to vent fumes from the gas range which is incredibly dangerous. Especially given the entire building is covered in snow. The unit was like being in a dungeon with no natural light due to the amount of snow. No fault of the property but perhaps guests should have been warned. You need to fix the lack of hood in the kitchen that is a code violation.

Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This ground floor unit has parking a few steps away. My family was able to walk to the village gondola in about 5 minutes. That’s a huge value on its own being that parking at the lodges can be challenging. The unit was really clean with some apparent updates to the bathroom. Two items kept this from being a 5 star review. The mattress is a canoe and the bed frame squeaks with any movement. Also, you get about 7 minutes of hot water in the shower. So, it took a couple of hours to have the 4 of us shower Overall, the cleanliness and location of this unit is fantastic. I would stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great location, we could walk to many restaurants in 10-15 minutes and the village gondola base was only 10 minutes away. The space is perfect for 2 people. The kitchen had everything we needed. However the condo needs some attention. The mattress was broken down and saggy in the middle. The toilet either leaks or has so much tank condensation that water puddled on the floor. The tub drain is very slow, and don’t plan to use the jet tub. The water heater is too small to fill the tub with enough water to use it. The jets themselves were very dirty.

Mammoth trip

Sofa & chair need to be replaced; we felt like we were sitting on the floor. Table was unattractive, should be replaced. The remotes to the tv did not match the tv. Had to stand next to the tv to turn the channels. The floor tile was broken & sharp on the feet (by the edge of the carpet). We only stayed one night as I had altitude sickness & sat upright on the couch (no sleep). Terrible experience!

Cozy studio near the village

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had a very nice 3-night stay in this Mammoth Lakes studio. The location is very convenient, and a short walk to the village and gondola. The unit has everything you need with a full kitchen, stocked toiletries, a fireplace operated with a simple thermostat, and a comfy queen size bed separated by a small privacy wall from the rest of the space. I was traveling solo, but this could easily accommodate a small group with the sofa bed.One concern I had was with a foul odor that I noticed immediately upon check-in. I ended up buying a scented candle the very next morning, borrowed a book of matches from the front desk, and had the candle lit anytime I was home. By the last day I had determined that the smell was coming from the kitchen sink, as I would occasionally see water and other waste material backflow, possibly from the unit above. I would encourage management to address this plumbing issue.Other than that, I had a great stay, and would certainly book again!

Fairly good, but needs attention.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the price we paid, we expected better. The Jacuzzi jets did not operate during our 4 day stay and management knows about it. The utensils in the studio condo (#103) were subpar. The one large frying pan is in such bad shape (scratched and severely warped) that you could not cook in it. There were only three (3) large forks and there were FOUR (4) of us staying in the unit. Some of the dishes were dirty (egg and other food stuck on plates). The patio BBQ is large, but also in very bad shape - difficult to cook on. Otherwise the unit was clean and decorated nicely - probably one of the better ones. Two big issues with the studio units is a lack of cooking vent fan (cooking triggers the smoke alarms every time so you have to leave the front and patio doors open for a draft) and no dishwasher. Therefore, studio units are not a good choice for people who want to actually cook in the unit.

December Ski Trip

Positive: I was very impressed with the location, the price point and the short walk to the Village. I also appreciated that it was located on the first floor and there was a mud room inside the condo. Parking access was easy. Negative: The condo was dirty (there was a moldy coffee filter and grounds in the coffee machine among other dirty things). The other primary negative was the check in process. Usually when a mgmt company requires you to go to their office, it is because you have to pick up a key instead of accessing the property with a pin code. However, in this case you had to drop by the office at check in and at check out only to pick up and drop off the parking pass. There was still a pin code to access the unit. This is an unnecessary and inconvenient additional step. I would suggest leaving the parking pass in a basket on the counter like most owners and mgmt companies. There was also no dishwasher. Since it is your responsibility to clean the dishes, it is difficult to do it effectively without a dishwasher or drying rack. I would recommend cleaning everything again before you use it. The bed was in very poor condition, and it squeaked loudly every time you would move. The mattress sloped in the center. I would not pursue staying here again. There are better places that are walking distance to the Village for the same price point.

We will be addressing the cleaning with our Housekeeping Team and apologize that you found this unit in those conditions as that is not up to our cleanliness standards. Regarding the check-in process, access codes are reset after every guest which is the main reason why we have all guests stop by the office to pick up access codes. Thank you for the feedback. We will most certainly take it into consideration. As listed in the description, this unit does not offer a dishwasher as it sleeps 4 and most studio kitchens (in Mammoth) cannot fit a dishwasher. I see you stated that a drying rack is not included in the unit, however we did confirm that there was a drying rack provided under the sink. When I arrived i honestly don’t think the carpet was vacuumed & the bathroom area, the shower was not cleaned, there was hair on the shower walls, & floors in the bathroom area.The bathroom with the sink next to the toilet, The wall with the outlet & wall switches there was blood splattered on the wall.The second sink in the bathroom the backsplash was very dirty.I thought you should know & hopefully you can relay this to the owners so they can contact the cleaning service

Excellent, clean studio and GREAT location! (bad rental company)

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I thought the place was great - excellent location, very clean, plenty of room. Having to go all the way to the other side of town to the Mammoth reservations office (near Vons) just to get a 4 digit code for the front door was a nightmare - in fact, I didn't even stay at the unit for one of the 2 nights I rented because I couldn't get a ride to the Mammoth reservations. NOT the owner's fault, it's the rental company - why couldn't they just text or email me the code? Is Mammoth Reservations still in 1993? Stupid and a waste of half the money I spent to stay at the place.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, it was a nice place. Location is great. I had 2 minor issues and 1 big one. The big one is the smell. I think it’s from the carpet. It’s got that old musky smell when you first walk in. That just makes the whole place feel cheap. The other issue was the iron headboard. It made so much noise. Get rid of it or replace it. Everyone will thank you if you do. The last small issue is that it’s dark. I stayed with 2 grown kids and had no problems. If my wife was with us, the smell would’ve been an issue. I found value in the location and liked the fact that I didn’t have to stay 3 nights.

Quite a few long-standing problems still not corrected.

We read prior reviews, some a year or more old, and hoped that issues had been resolved by now. They hadn’t. The bed is still exactly as many others have reported it. Sunken in the center and squeakier than a summer camp metal cot. The bathroom has been remodeled and is quite lovely, but there is little point in having a jetted tub and rain shower fixture with only 5 minutes of hot water. Initial day of stay the management dutifully advised that the refrigerator had stopped working. It couldn’t be repaired during our stay. They provided a mini fridge which smelled horrible (closed up in storage likely). We ended up leaving a day early. When I called to advise them of our early departure they stated “we will let housekeeping know.” That didn’t sound much like “sorry”. I don’t know if the place is owned by the management company or a private owner but someone needs to make some basic investment to maintain this place. And add a microwave. And fix the mini blinds. And figure out why the TV’s do not show full screen images (I’m a techie guy and couldn’t fix that.). Some basic attention to detail - and addressing issues that reviewers have noted for a LONG time - is pretty simple.

Thank you for your feedback and we apologize there was an issue with the fridge prior to your arrival. We have received approval to move forward and replace the bed so will work on that. The condo's are privately owned and we manage them. The fridge was repaired during your stay and is now working as it should and we apologize the small temporary fridge was not ideal, it was cleaned out prior to taking it to the unit. When it was stated that you were leaving a day early, there was no context provided so we did not know for what reason, as we knew you were visiting for work the assumption it was work related so again apologies that no one apologized, but no reason was given at the time. Since then we have gone ahead and provided compensation for the inconvenience with the fridge. We will follow up and make sure the other issues mentioned are addressed for future stays, and thank you again for the comments. Mammoth Reservations
