The space was excellent—tall ceilings, modern furniture, a comfy bed, new appliances, and plenty of books to read. The only issue we ran into was that the Half Moon restaurant and bar stayed open until 1 or 2 in the morning, with a cop posted outside and kids loitering. Luckily, once you close the bedroom door, you can't hear a peep from the street. This location was within walking distance of lots of good food, and we took advantage. Would stay here again.

Thanks for the review. Glad you enjoyed the tall ceilings, modern furniture, comfy bed, new appliances, and the books. Sorry about the late-night activity at Half Moon — good to hear the bedroom door blocked the noise. We’ll add a note about possible late-night bar noise to the listing. Would love to host you again.
Clean, comfortable and convenient to Garden District and Central Business District!

Thank you for your feedback, Kim! We're glad you found the property clean and comfortable, and that the location suited your needs. We hope to welcome you back soon!
Overall positive, especially the willingness to modify the reservation due to our own personal time changes with the trip - we did have difficulties getting the AC to cool down the rooms, the remote would not reduce the temperature. Also, I was a bit taken aback by the text I received about a noise complaint supposedly received, there was only my wife and I in the apartment, and we not there much other than to sleep, and I received a text that had an aggresive tone of "guilty until proven innocent" about a noise compliant that supposedly was received. I suggest a little more thought should be put into how one reaches out to guests under those circumstances. We really like the place, and its convienence for us as so near local family, so we definitely will be returning. Thanks again for the modification on the trip dates, that was a very positive experience.

Thank you for your review. We’re glad the date modification worked well and that the location was convenient. We apologize for the AC remote issue. We’re also sorry the noise‑complaint message felt aggressive; we take reports seriously, but will review how those messages are worded and delivered to ensure they’re more respectful. We appreciate the feedback and look forward to hosting you again. Thank you for staying with us and we sincerely apologize for everything that made your stay not as expected.
We love the garden district. Walking distance to everything. Great shops, great restaurants, great neighborhood. This place had all the charm of 100-year-old building but was loaded with comfort and conveniences. A great kitchen, luxury bed, and the perfect balcony. Street parking was easy. Five stars, we can't wait to come back!

Thank you for your wonderful review! I’m thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your stay in the Garden District and appreciated the balcony. It’s great to know that the location and features of the property contributed to a positive experience.
The property is well maintained and well appointed. Plenty of room. It is close to shopping and many restaurants on magazine street. The bus stop to the french quarter is less than a block away. We did rent a car but quickly realized it wasn't necessary as the bus is cheap and easy to navigate. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the balcony. Would recommend this property 100%.

Updated Lower Garden District apartment near Magazine St
The location: Convenient to Magazine street. About 2 blocks to the bus to downtown/french quarter and 4 blocks to the streetcar. I lowered this a star for its proximity to a local bar on the corner and other some items mentioned below . Some nights were fine but others had as someone told us the 'fabric' of New Orleans'. If you're ok with that, great.
The unit: The apartment is nicely appointed, modern, updated. All of NO have incredibly high ceilings which make it feel even more spacious. There were a few maintenance items that the owner said he would address. The AC trips up and needs resetting annd inconsistent WiFi affecting the tv. Assuming the maintenance items are addressed, it's a nice place.
Communication: was great. Timely and professional.
Checkin: I didn't care for it. There is a disconnect between the VRBO way and the BookNola way. Not his fault but VRbo block emails and doesn't allow you to copy urls from the app. The owner process uses 2 disconnected systems that I had to pass through (rental checks). I had to background check the background systems because they are no names to the non-rental owner world. One of the links led to the owners site to login which was incorrect. Needless to say, it was clumsy and quite honestly uncomfortable. The owners guide wasn't easily accessible. In the end, was fine but be prepared. The owner was responsive.
