2 Anny Far and Near is a beautiful 3 bedroom holiday home located along the beautiful coast road (Wild Atlantic Way) between the popular family holiday resorts of Rathmullan and Portsalon in North Donegal. Nestled into a wooded hillside the cottage enjoys stunning panoramic views over Lough Swilly towards the Inishowen Hills.
The holiday home lies along the route of the Wild Atlantic Way – Irelands long distance scenic driving route. 22km north of the holiday home is one of the signature points on this route – Fanad Head Lighthouse. Tours of this iconic lighthouse are available daily during the holiday season. During the summer season there is also a ferry between Rathmullan and Buncrana which provides easy access to the Inishowen Peninsula.

Amazing view

The property was clean and spacious with wonderful views of Lough Swilly. The area is peaceful and not too far away from shops and amenities. Only thing i would say is that we were self catering and some of the cooking utensils and pots and pans have seen better days but other than that it was great.

The house was lovely and the views were gorgeous. It was located in a lovely, quiet and peaceful area. Paul sent me information in a booklet on the morning of our arrival which was very useful.

We totally loved it, the house was absolutely amazing, spotlessly clean and well equipped, the location breathtaking and the views amazing, the Kellys couldn't have done enough for us and made us feel so welcome. We can’t wait to go back again soon. Highly recommended.

We will be back

This house was absolutely perfect for my family. Having a place where we could bring our dog and be so close to the beaches was amazing. The house itself was much bigger than we expected and we were able to prepare all our meals with ease. The views over Lough Swilly were spectacular to wake up to each morning. It rained every 5 minutes during our stay so being able to wash our clothes and have a hot shower was much appreciated!

Very warm and comfortable accommodation. Good sized rooms, nicely appointed kitchen with lots of fridge/freezer space. Utensils are basic. Coffee machine is a Bosch/Tassimo. Well situated for access to the many attractions of the Fanad peninsula.

A beautiful remote retreat

A lovely house, nicely decorated and very comfortable and with good, modern facilities. Great views! A good base for exploring this beautiful part of Donegal as long as you are happy to embrace the changeable weather and to drive. We had a lovely stay, thank you. One addition you might consider would be a tumble drier, as it was difficult to get our wet walking clothes and swimming gear dry, given the Eastern aspect of the house. Bigger, better quality towels for the house would be nice too. V good venue, thanks.

Gute Unterkunft

Wir waren für 6 Tage in der Unterkunft. Vorab haben wir eine Nachricht vom Vermieter erhalten mit allen wesentlichen Informationen. Die Haus war absolut in Ordnung und es haben nur Kleinigkeiten gefehlt (z.B Toilettenbürste ;o) ) Das Internet ist nicht das schnellste, aber das lässt sich verkraften. Man sieht, dass der Vermieter teilweise Renovierungen vorgenommen hat und das Haus in Ordnung hält. Die Lage ist wie angegeben. Der nächste größere Ort mit Einkaufmöglichkeit und Restaurants ist in ca. 10 Minuten mit dem Auto erreichbar. Wir würden das Haus noch einmal buchen.

House was lovely, great view from sitting room and kitchen,had everything you would need in it ,clean and comfortable and were allowed to have our dog, between rathmullan and portsalon , only bad point was bad wee lane leading to it was very bumpy

Excellent holiday rental

This clean, welcoming and well furnished property was the best possible base for an excellent holiday in Donegal. We arrived to find the property spotlessly clean. The view from the living room window was superb. Our friendly host answered any questions before and during our stay. We would fully recommend this property. It’s excellent!

Lovely short break

We wanted a weekend away with the family, where we could walk on beautiful beaches, eat nice food and have cosy nights in by the fire and this place was perfect. It is located in a beautiful part of Donegal with some of the most amazing beaches I have ever seen. It’s definitely a part of Ireland we will visit again. The house was just what we needed, it was very clean and the rooms are spacious with comfortable beds. It has a lovely view across the water which you can see from the living room & kitchen. We would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The cottage was exactly as pictured. Centrally located with easy access to beaches and all Donegal has to offer. I loved staying here and look forward to a return visit and hopefully a longer stay next time.

Perfect base for a family holiday in Donegal.

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful part of Donegal. Stunning, quiet beaches within 10mins drive. Rathmullen is a charming place and we found plenty to see and do. Don’t miss Rathmullen House Hotel for it’s pizza in the Pavillion or Kayaking in Port Salon. The views of Lough Swilly from the kitchen and sitting room were fabulous. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed, we even had fuel to put down a fire one rainy evening. We appreciated the good WiFi and made use of the smart TV too ! Definitely need a car as the road is very narrow by the house and not safe to walk.

Luxurious place

I would recommend that place to everyone. We only stayed there for 2 nights but already looking to book time off and go back. The place its absolutely spectacular. The cottage is well looked after. We can't fault this cottage in any way. Love it love it love it.
