Waratah is a fully self-contained heritage cottage with one bedroom, lounge room, kitchen and bathroom. Each room is separately air conditioned. The cottage is in a quiet location within walking distance of the CBD. WiFi is included. A barbeque is set aside for guests in the well established gardens. Check-in is between 2pm and 6.00pm and check-out is by 10.00am.

I wasn't able to stay due to illness and I had already missed the cancellation window, so I can't really comment on the property itself. However the host was friendly and responsive in our communication. I wouldn't have any concerns about staying again.

A wonderful stay in Goulburn

We stayed three nights in Anne & Alex’s cottage, from the moment we arrived they were incredibly welcoming and thoughtful in wanting to make sure we had a great experience. In particular we loved the homegrown honey and other treats provided. The cottage had everything we needed, and is in a convenient, quiet location close to the town centre. We would happily stay again!

History in a Garden

We were welcomed by our accommodating hosts into a quaint (attractively unusual) historical setting accommodation. Three neatly rejuvenated servant rooms attached to an 1880's cottage. Comfortable and well appointed it made a great venue for a few night stay in exploring Goulburn.

Cosy cottage in relaxed garden setting

Anne & Alex were lovely, so welcoming and helpful. The cottage is comfortable and cosy, set in spacious gardens with a choice of outdoor seating. The bed is firm & super comfortable with electric blanket. I felt right at home and was well rested for my workshop the next day.

Excellent accomodation

The hosts Anna and Alex treated us like family, helped us with the luggage when we arrived and the cottage was neat and tidy. They were very friendly, gave us honey, jam and fresh eggs from their free range chickens. They made the stay at the cottage very pleasant for us and we will certainly pay them a visit in the near future.

A perfect home away from home

Waratah Cottage has been the perfect home away from home for the last several weeks. I have loved the peace and tranquility, the beautiful old heritage features; its garden location. It's been such a lovely respite to come home to. It couldn't have been more perfect. Anne and Alex are the most amazing hosts. It made all the difference to my stay in Goulburn!! Thank you for everything!!!!!!!!!!

Overnight Stay

For us this was an overnight stay on our way home. What a surprise, amazing hosts that were so accommodating. The cottage was so well appointed and for Goulburn the heating was excellent. The bed was so comfortable. We are planning to return. If you are looking for accommodation in Goulburn, you cannot go wrong with Waratah Cottage. Highly recommended…

The Ultimate in Hospitality

A unique property with everything you need. Quiet, yet a short drive to town and CBD. Host is friendly and welcoming with nothing being to much trouble if asked. It is completely self contained and comfortable. Definitely not suitable for those with a disability because there are steps both up to the cottage and inside as well.

Tranquil Hideaway

Property Manager caring, available and communicative. We had a personal problem where it may have affected our stay, and Property Manager was empathetic and supportive. Property was even more charming and spacious than expected; indoors and out! Own private access, but Property Manager on hand as needed. Everything we needed (and more!) was available. It was extremely comfortable and warm, we could hear the beautiful sounds of nature and birds, enjoyed lovely sunshine flooding in through the window, but also plenty of privacy, as required. The greenery visible through the windows was relaxing. We enjoyed a quick guided tour of the entire yard, one morning, while enjoying a breakfast made with fresh ingredients provided by the considerate Property Manager. Sad we only had a two-night stay. Location was also convenient (for guests with own vehicle), as close to Goulburn and Goulburn South. Would definitely stay again! Thank you both; it was an absolute pleasure being guests at your Cottage, and it was just the place we needed for our type of getaway. The vibrations and energy were so positive and calming. Thank you for allowing us to completely absorb all your gardening efforts. It truly was a pleasure to meet you. Thank you for offering your lovely property.

My husband & I had a fantastic stay at this wonderful accommodation for the entire month! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. The room was impeccably clean, comfortable, and making it feel like a home away from home. The hosts are generous and caring. They have created a quiet retreat away from the town centre but close for convenience. Home produced eggs and honey, a cottage which looks like a converted stable (in the nicest possible way), comfortable, well-equipped...I can't rave about this place and its hosts enough. If I ever get back to Goulburn, I'll be going straight there without looking for anywhere else.
