Tui Cottage Private Rural Retreat With Elevated Views To The Ocean

Tui Cottage is sited in a rural and nature filled environment, elevated and private, with views to the ocean and the Poor Knights islands. It is totally self contained and recently renovated with a new kitchen and bathroom with polished concrete floors and macrocarpa ceiling throughout. The bed is a super king (can be split) and there is a sofa bed. There is room for a tent behind the cottage. Rain water (soft and pure) is collected and filtered with an alpine series NFS approved water filtration and ultraviolet water purification system.
The deck looks out to views of the Poor Knights and surrounding forest and native bush. Star gaze at night to the sound of the local kiwis. In the morning wake to the Tuis and Woodpidgeons. It has it's own private drive and place to fillet the fish. 5km to Matapouri or Tutukaka there are so many beaches to explore. There are many coastal and forest walks close by such as Matapouri to Whale Bay, Tutukaka to The Lighthouse. The Nunguru Coastal walk to Wellington Bay, The Te Araroa or Tane Moana Kauri Track. Matapouri and Nunguru Inlet are superb for paddle boards and kayaks or just lazing on the beach.
