Amazing, as always!

I've been staying at the EcoHouse, in the Patio Cottage, whenever I visit Portland. I love it! Scott is the best host and goes out of his way to make my stay so nice. I've been visiting Portland for years and have stayed in hotels, but when my son got married and moved to the Alberta Street area, I found the Portland EcoHouse. I won't stay anywhere else now! Looking for somewhere to eat? Ask Scott. Want something fun to do? Ask Scott. He's very knowledgeable about the areas and is a wealth of information. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

Wonderful Experience!

The portland Eco house Patio cottage was the perfect stay! I booked for its proximity to my daughter’s new house and was so glad I did! It is a charming and thoughtfully appointed cottage in a very walkable and neighborly neighborhood with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. I was a little sad it wasn’t summer so we could take full advantage of the cute outdoor area, but next time for sure. Scott is also a gracious and accommodating host who made sure we had everything we needed to have the best stay. I am now going to have to purchase one of the same mattresses, since my partner couldn’t stop raving about how well he slept. I know we will be back to enjoy it all again. Highly recommend.

Lovely quick trip

Had an overnight in Portland to see some friends, this was an easy stop in a great location (central to some great food and things to do, easy to get to). My travel buddy couldn't make it but I felt safe by myself; would've been totally fine and comfortable with another person even in the small space. Scott gave lots of detailed instructions and was super communicative. Added bonus: it rained overnight and it sounded lovely on the roof!

Cozy retreat in the city

The patio cottage is small but comfortable and is very well equipped. We very much enjoyed the location close to restaurants and shops, yet quiet and peaceful. Scott was a courteous and attentive host.

Cozy and Quiet

This lovely spot was perfect for my trip to Portland. It was not only a perfect location, but was a lovely little spot to return to when I needed a break from the weather or a rest from a busy day. The host was nothing but friendly and accommodating but also provided a quiet safe haven that I always felt welcome at. It was a perfect little get away.

Portland ecohouse

We spent two nights at the patio cottage and had a wonderful time. Not only was the patio cottage in perfect condition, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable and thoughtfully organized with everything you could need. Scott has amazing taste. The neighborhood is a lot of fun. It was also convenient to walk to our favorite vegan restaurants. If you like peace and quiet in a artistic setting with a kitchenette, this is a place for you. Next time we come to Portland, we know where to stay.

This was my third stay. I love the Ecohouse!

I keep coming back to stay in the Patio Cottage. I just love it here. I have everything I need, it's on a quiet street right near Alberta, and Scott is an amazing host. If you have questions about the area, he has the answers. The property is beautiful. I love hanging out on the patio with my coffee when I wake up. Thanks so much, Scott. You know I'll be back!

Alberta St getaway

My wife and I were able to book a long weekend in the Patio Villa and it was just what we needed! Just a mile from Pine State Biscuits for breakfast and Baerlic taproom. The villa was just the right size for the two of us and Scott was an attentive and helpful host. Would definitely recommend!

Cozy stay in Portland

My wife and I recently stayed at Patio Cottage in Portland. It was a great find. The location was ideal for checking out different neighborhoods(Alberta and Mississippi) and super quiet. All were within walking distance(10-15 minutes) and Scott was a terrific host. He had plenty of recommendations and information and really respected our privacy. Luckily, we had beautiful weather so the patio was ideal for relaxing, reading or just enjoying the weather. A very cozy and comfortable little gem that we would definitely return next time we're visiting Portland.

Sleeping Soundly in Portland

This is a wonderful place to stay while visiting Portland. What's great about Portland are all the walkable neighborhoods with eclectic eating options and Scott's Patio Cottage is in the perfect location to experience several of them. Williams Avenue is just a couple of blocks away as well as the Alberta Arts District. A little further away, you can walk to Mississippi Avenue and the historic neighborhood of Irvington. The cottage makes great use of space, is clean and everything is in mint condition. There is even an outdoor space to relax and enjoy in sunny weather. Scott is a gracious host who knows Portland well and can offer helpful suggestions of where to go and what to see. I highly recommend staying here to get a taste of all that Portland has to offer.

Patio Suite was perfect!

We spent President’s Day weekend in Portland visiting our son. While looking for a place nearby I stumbled onto EcoHouse website. What a find! Scott was attentive, returning messages quickly when we had a hiccup in our travel plans. He met us at check in. The Suite was cheery refuge from NW winter rains. We can’t wait to return when the weather will allow us to use the patio. Great little place in very walkable neighborhood. Thank you Scott.

I love it!

This is the second time I've stayed in the patio cottage. The first time was a solo trip, and it was so peaceful. This time I brought my boyfriend. We both loved it! The cottage is adorable, immaculate, and is located very close to the Alberta Arts District. Scott, the host, is a friendly, helpful, and interesting man. He knows a lot about the area. He composed a manual for the cottage containing info about various features of the property, as well as recommendations for food, beverages, and other info on Portland. I will likely stay here every time I visit!

Patio Cottage Stay

The patio cottage was awesome. Just as described and Scott was a wonderful host. He also has a really nice welcome book with some great suggestions regarding the city and surrounding areas. The cottage is also right off of Alberta St and there are countless shops and great restaurants in walking distance. This was a bonus I hadn’t planned on. Lastly, and possibly most importantly, the bed is awesome. 😊 Wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Scott.

Quiet, convenient, and comfortable extended stay

The patio cottage was ideal for me. The bed was extremely comfortable, the mattress was mite-proofed, and the bedding was 100% cotton. Al the windows and doors had effective room darkening curtains, and was very quiet at night. The induction hot plate was effective and the pots, pans, utensils, and dishware provided allowed for creative cooking. The bathroom was clean and functional. The Bluetooth speaker provided was a nice bonus. Scott was a terrific host. He owns and lives on the property and takes the Eco concept seriously, regarding recycling and composting, which I do at home, so, now an issue for me. He provides a lot of information about the area, which was very helpful. He wanted to know if there was anything I needed, and supplied my requests immediately. Importantly, he respected my privacy and never invaded my space. I'm very happy that I chose it for my visit to Portland.

If you are vegetarian, vegan, or just curious about or enjoy plant-based cuisine, I've been vegan for decades, and being tuned into the plethora of plant-based restaurants, bars, and food carts in town, I'll be more than happy to point you towards where you can grab the kind of grub in that realm you might be craving.
