The back deck was nice. Plenty of room for all of us and the rooms where nice. We did enjoy it but with us being older the step down into the living room was not loved.
We really enjoyed our stay here this week. We had snow and sun, best of both worlds. This house was really spacious, so we all were able to spread out. It had everything we needed, a well stocked kitchen and comfortable beds. I would definitely stay here again!
We had four generations, ten persons, for three nights. The house suited us perfectly; everyone had a space that suited them. The hot tub was meticulously clean and enjoyable. The kids had fun with the game room. The deck adjacent to the golf course was nice, kids enjoyed exploring. Kitchen was ideal size and had everything we needed. We made great use of the SHARC passes. We didn't realize the house doesn't have air conditioning, but it wasn't an issue, the house cooled rapidly at night with just a few windows cracked open. Management company was very friendly and helpful. Great experience and lifelong memories for our family.
There needs to be box fans or something for heat as it was in 90's and house not comfortable just with ceiling fans. I would suggest they replace most of beds and get a dishwasher that doesn't sound like it's going to take off. We enjoyed the size of the house and location. Using SHARC passes was difficult as not enough staff and you had to wait quite a while to get in. All in all we enjoyed all being together.
We found that our disappointment was mainly in the kitchen. The dishwasher was very loud to the point that we couldn’t talk to each other if we were in that room. A maintenance person we called said that he thought the pump was failing. There was a major leak in the large window over the sink caused by a big gap in the gutter system noticeable when it was raining. We left towels on the wood to try to protect the window sill. Kitchen utensils were less than adequate…a can opener that was very difficult to operate and knives that were dull even after we tried to sharpen them.
There were big holes in the master bedroom blankets. The pool table and hot tub were enjoyed by nearly everyone.
We had no problems with checking in or checking out. Meredith Lodging was very responsive and made checking in and our reservation process very simple and organized.
This place was fine. Good for a larger group. However Meredith Lodging needs to get it together. Many reviews stated 2 bikes are broken. This is accurate, they have yet to fix them even tho they have known for months. The small bike gears don’t work and next size up has a loose pedal that makes it very difficult to ride we spent over an hour trying to fix but it needs a part. They were contacted and did not care. The ice maker is broken. Notified immediately but didn’t get back to us until day 3 and then repair man didn’t fix. Left no dish soap. Contacted them- they never brought it. Laundry in washer and dryer upon arrival so we immediately had to do our own laundry!? Never had that happen before. One of the patio tables is broken and propped on its side out of use. We had to fill the hot tub on arrival because the level was too low. The carpet is pretty gross. And an fyi, the bonus room is separated from the house on off the garage. Overall, it was fine. But Meredith Lodging leaves a lot to be desired.

Liked: Communication, location, listing accuracy
Hugo with highs and lots of lows
Pros:
-lots of space and plenty of rooms/beds to sleep 12
-beautiful view of the golf course
-pool table
-smart TV in living room with streaming services
Cons:
-the wood deck is in desperate need of repair - I would not recommend walking barefoot as screws would pop up where boards were loose (not ideal with young kids)
-the kitchen is lacking basic essentials for a large family to make meals (no kids dishes/cups, no mixing large bowls, etc.)
-broken ice maker
-no window coverings in primary suite or bunk room
-outdoor tables were filthy upon arrival (stuck on food from previous guests)
-top bunk unusable because it is too close to ceiling fan and extremely unsafe
-dishwasher is LOUD and one cycle runs for 6+ hours
-we had to buy paper towels, dishwasher pods and ice since the property wasn't properly stocked for our stay (pretty disappointing when you are paying almost $1K per night...)
-caution tape was left in several places on the deck, but management was unsure as to exactly why it was there
Would NOT recommend until all of these repairs are made.
This was a very comfortable stay. I was a little leery after reading the last review before my upcoming stay. But everything had been addressed and the only thing needing fixed were some of the bicycle issues. Broken pedals and whatnot. But the house was clean, the hot tub was awesome, pool table with tv provided days of entertainment for the adults AND teens. All in all, it was a great time for my group. Thank you Merideth Lodging! :)
House was a mess. Blood spot on our sheets. Blinds, broke. Garage door, broke. Outdoor lights all burnt out. Bikes had flat tires or were missing pedals. Tables were filthy. No refund for our SHARC passes that we were told would not be eligible due to COVID, even though we paid for them. Total joke of an experience.
Nice roomy house in a great location.
Drawbacks - ice maker in fridge was not working, not enough coffee cups for all adults, could use more bikes (only four were functional)
Pluses - Nice to have paper towels, toilet paper and soap, shampoo provided.
